The small-sized HeroClip is a clever, little contraption that you never thought you'd ever need, but you'll start using it all the time once you get it. The HeroClip can hang on pretty much everything from tables to hammocks, and it has another hook that acts as a hanger for casual items like bags or outdoors gear like wet rain shells. It has a folding hook with a rubber tip that can grip slippery stones, mossy logs, or the sides of couches. The hanger hook has a wire gate to secure whatever you're hanging. The HeroClip has a lightweight, ultra compact construction so you can take it backpacking or out to restaurants, and it'll come in handy around home too.

Gear Clip
A terrific Carabiner Hook/Clip: very versatile. This will be very useful on my backpacking trip in a couple of weeks. I found this sizing description very helpful: Medium specs: • Holds up to 60 lbs • Dimensions: 3" wide, 3 3/4" high (closed) Small specs: • Holds up to 50 lbs • Dimensions: 2.4" wide, 3 " high (closed) Mini specs: • Holds up to 40 lbs • Dimensions: 1.9" wide, 2.25" high (closed)

The small clip not great for hanging things off a table.
I got the small Heroclip to use as a purse/coat hanger on tables at restaurants/bars. The gap (see pic of purse hanging on table) is about 1.5 inches and was not wide enough to fit on the tables I tried (the large might work). If the table comes to a 90 degree corner it may work but with a bevel or rounded edge the clip will fall off. The rubber tip is hard and has little gripping abilities especially on smoother surfaces. I really considered returning it, especially for the price, but I'm hoping I'll find another use.

Saved my hear from getting soaked in Man-pee
I really thought this was stupid and I was getting suckered into posting 20 bucks for a carabiner. I have to say that it's awesome. My things no longer go on the floor. On the first day I had it. I even had to use a bathroom stall which didn't have hangers. So instead of my belongings getting soaked in man-pee, it hung on the stall saving my stuff of urine. What a home run. There are so many things that you will hang that you don't even think about it until you have it.

Clever -- and exactly as described
A bit pricey (I paid US$16.95 each), but nevertheless I ended up buying several of them (small size). Keeping your gear up off the ground or a sticky floor can be well worth the cost.I haven't seen anything like this clip, and since it attaches to the bag like any carabiner, it's always there, ready to do the job. And to be rated at 50 pounds capacity ... well, I think that should make it easy to hang most bags or backpacks.I've tried it with a backpack using the hook to suspend it from a table top, and it works very well. The hook part also swivels 360 degrees from the caribiner part, so you can hook it onto many different things, like a door, small branch, ledge, etc.Closing the hook back onto the caribiner took me a few tries until I realized the hook part needs to be offset first a bit from the main caribiner (it can't be in the same plane when closing it), then swung shut like a garden gate while hoding the silver caribiner clip open to receive it. It helps to pay attention to things when you first open the rotating hook, swinging the hook part sideways away from the caribiner before extending the hook part, to see how this works.Once you've opened and closed it once or twice it becomes obvious, and you think, "Gee, that's really clever."

Cool but so overpriced
Decent quality and a great idea. But...It's a basic aluminum carabiner with an extra hook attached. Worth $15-$20? I don't think so.It's a bit bulky because of the extra hook. Looks like the black anodizing is going to scratch off easily especially where the hook comes into contact with the carabiner. Also, it's edges are sharp and rough. Not smooth like most climbing carabiners. If this rubs against, or swings and hits something, it's gonna leave a mark. It's a neat idea for hanging bags. Not sure it's worth the price tho. Was expecting a better finished quality. If they got together with a company that actually makes climbing gear, they could have something stronger and more refined.

Great quality clip
After leaving my bag in the floor of public bathrooms for way too long I finally caved and bought a hero clip. Good quality, although I'm stuck because the medium doesn't sit well on bigger tables, but the large is HUGE! Either way, that's my problem not yours. Buy with confidence!

Not worth the money
This looks like it is a versatile tool but it is larger and more awkward than a carabiner of the same size. I have a standard purse hook with a nice long drop which I pull out of my purse and hang off of a table in a second and similarly quickly when it is time to leave; it takes considerably longer to get this thing open and get the purse inside the carabiner part and even longer to reverse the process. It is a pain in the neck and so I don't use it. This just sits around the house.

So very handy
We live on a boat and are finding tons of uses for our Heroclips. We are currently using them to add place to hang our wet, winter coats (both dog and human), to hang a fruit basket and even guest life jackets (they are stowed attached to the Heroclip in a locker and we just pull it out to hang them up whenever someone comes over).I originally bought three to give as Christmas Gifts and a few days later I bought three more with family members buying some of their own.
