Where the rubber meets the vinyl!
The media could not be loaded. Back in 2015 I happened to pawn a nice Technics sld 2:02 direct drive turntable at an estate sale for 20 bucks. The cartridge and the head shell were mangled and the dust cover was ruin and the rubber mat looked pretty shoddy. With a little TLC I got up things up and running in very little time.First of all.. I made sure that the motor was working and it was although a little sluggish but I knew what to do. A drop or two of light silicone motor oil and we were good to go. I already had the fantastic audio file sure m97xe phone cartridge on hand mounted in an SME type head shell that I purchased here for about 17 bucks. It is still available on this website for that price which is phenomenal! Also the tonearm counterweight inside threads were a little bit rough so I thoroughly cleaned him with an alcoholic wipe and the counterweight went on as expected. After cleaning the pitch control with some WD-40 electronic spray that I purchased here also for a reasonable price I manage to get the speed of the turntable pretty sturdy and the strobe working properly. Now all I needed was to address the beat up original rubber mat. Lo and behold this product presented itself to me LOL and I'm glad it did!The seller described it as suitable for a Technics turntable and indeed it is! At least I think so. That is reasonable price it really cannot be beat and only requires an occasional cleaning with a wipe of sorts to maintain its beauty and aesthetically pleasing quality. It grabs the record rather nicely and minimizes static and don't listen to that guy who suggests using these rubber mats as Frisbees LOL. There is always one of those nose up in the air snobs that think they're the ultimate audio files that would have you believe that. In my 74 years of life I've been around the block a few times with audio equipment so I know what I'm doing. This is supposed to be a fun hobby and indeed it can be with minimal cost to you if you use your head. Remember you ultimately are the judge of a given piece of equipments performance. I'd say for the price this rubber mat performs rather well it's intended use. The prices quite reasonable and the shipping and the packaging was more than adequate and quite fast. Happy listening...PJSII GOD BLESS YOU!

Nice mat, works for ROK turntable
Almost perfect replacement for my Rek-O-Kut turntable platter. Outer diameter is perfect. Inner hole fits, but it covers the built-in 45 adapter so I'll have to use add-on adapters unless and until I find another mat that has the opening for the built-in adapter. Not a big deal for me, but beware if you're looking for something for an ROK like mine.

Look no further, this is the one!
This is my 4th attempt at trying to find a mat replacement for my Technics SL-D2 turntable. The original has lost nearly all of its visco-elastic properties; but, it's to be expected. It's 40 years old.I will not go too much into first attempt; but, I'll admit that it was more or less my fault, felt. I was going for aesthetics; but, what was shipped was the wrong color, and well, the static cling present right out of the package,... Nope! So back it went. For my 2nd attempt, after reading a many a varied review, I decided to go with a cork mat. Wrong Again! I'll just say that the static cling emanating from it nearly required a spatula to separate it from the bottom of the album every time I removed an album from the turntable platter.Next I tried "leather". Looks good, sounds okay; but, again with the static. I'm like, let me check my ground. Nope, all good at the receptacle snug metal contact. So at this point I'm discouraged as I'm back to the original nearly hard as nails mat.But then just by chance, there it was. Ywhomal's Turntable Rubber Mat. It's a mirror image of the original that's on my SL-D2. Exact same thickness, diameter, everything. Even the grooves... I am literally blown away. Top shelf quality.Take it from me, if you're looking for a rubber mat to replace the original on your vintage turntable, newer model; or whatever, look no further becasue this is the one!

Perfect on my SL 120p
This thing is perfect on SL 1200. No logo and fits nicely, partly covering the raised bare metal ring on outside edge of platter. Grooves are a little sharper and deeper than OEM, but nucely done If you want something more original you will have to go with an OEM, but I am literally the only one who will ever know this is aftermarket on my table. Good value. This is nicely made with good thickness and weight. No odorous off gassing, nice finish free of mold marks, mold release, or imperfections. Nice softness for damping but hard enough formula to clean in the kitchen sink when dusty.
