I didn’t realize what our ordered was quick drying. For gaps, ect, but works beautifully
It dries super quick, no extra time for play

Mix well- read the instructions!
I bought this for a TV tray project and learned a few hard lessons (it was my first time using resin). First, mix enough resin for your project AND mix it well. Second, make sure the room is warm. Our thermostat was set to 68 and I don't think that was warm enough. I taped around the edge of the tray, which I regretted, I should have let it run off and just cleaned up the drips as it dried. The product is forgiving though (thank goodness!). I was able to sand down some of the edge issues and correct my bad mixing/temp problem. I poured a new, correctly mixed coat and had it dry in a warmer room and it was perfect! Also- as a PNW native, I'm happy that the product is manufactured in southern Oregon.

Cures way to fast
I mixed about 2oz. The bottle says to mix 4-6 min. By the time it hit 5 minutes, the stuff was almost too thick to pour. I finished my project in 10 minutes and it looked terrible because the epoxy had already turned gummy

Quick set. Not for novices.
Is frankly the best I’ve used.

Good but….
I read the other comments saying it heats up fast. Yes they are right! I mixed them up and not even 10m later it already started heating up super fast and hardened into a hard ball and had steam coming off of it. I wasted 4 oz. I switched to a different brand. If your mixing different colors into different cups with this resin… I wouldn’t use this one. This one is basically used for one color and make it quick otherwise it will hardened quick.

I love all the Stonecoat resins.
I love Stonecoat. The quick coat is in my opinion for those who like to work in small batches. I quickly learned that. I think it gave me beautiful results though. Now that I've tried it I'll probably go back to Craft Coat though.

Very limited work time but cures fast
Okay. I’ve updated this after reflecting.I am a resin artist and have used probably ten different brands of epoxy. I was excited about having a high heat resistance resin and faster curing time, but I had ZERO working time with this product. After hand mixing for four minutes in a temperature controlled environment, the resin had already begun to set up and was in the sticky gel phase. Nearly ruined a project I was working on.HOWEVER. In fairness it does say only mix/use in small quantities and I mixed eight ounces. And it was very convenient to pour a second layer on a project just a few hours later.

Sealing/Cover coat
To use this product you should watch the Stone Coat video's for proper application. This is a Sealing/Cover epoxy, so you don't want to put a lot on at one time. My first time I used, put to much on and it was cloudy or looked like trapped air bubbles. I used 30ml for a 20oz tumbler and it was to much. Dries to touch in 3 hours. Not like the Michael's brand that was still tacky after 3 days.

EXPENSIVE!!
Super expensive. I paid over 500 bucks for this stuff but really enjoyed using it. Provides a great, very glossy, rock solid finish on my wooden sculptures. Will look for cheaper product with similar finish results. But will buy again if I cannot find any.
