Thrustmaster Ferrari Challenge Wheel for PS3 and PC

Works great and loving it. At first nothing worked at all but some buttons and I thought "Damn, going to have to send it back". Then I remembered reading about the selector switch on the front of the steering wheel. Sure enough it was set to PS3. Switched it to PC and I was in business. To my surprise it works really well. I just look odd I am sure. 6' 2" guy that works out hunkered over this tiny wheel. I wanted a tiny wheel though. Love the shifter paddles and all of the buttons.Why did I buy it? Not really a racing sim kind of guy but Project Cars looked really cool. Tried to drive it with a mouse and was all over the place. Too cheap to spend $300 on a steering wheel and I don't have the space anyway because I live in an RV. Don't judge, took an IT job out of state. On a side note, living in an RV is actually pretty cool.How well does it work? No force feedback and if I had ever had it I'd probably miss it but since I don't know any better I'm good. For controlling the car it's a blast! Project Cars went from being a wasted $50 to my favorite game now. $34 worth of steering wheel made that much of a difference. Paddle shifters, I like them. Gas and brake have been working really good. Absolutely satisfied.Cons: Lol, it's small. I mean really small. When I saw the box I could not believe a steering wheel was in there.

It is only for gently use the steering wheel with pedals.I have used it with the driving simulator "SimuRide" for 7 days. It worked for me good, however, when I tried to use it again after one month, the steering wheel did not work. It could be something simple, but I didn't have time to try to fix it.Anyway, it served its purpose. 7 days is enough to learn and practice driving on front of the monitor. The wheel passed its test.I would recommend it to use with the driving simulator SimuRide by Aplusbsoftware, but I wouldn't recommend to use with any racing game where more aggressive user reactions can happen.

Caveat to this review is that racing games aren't usually my thing so I'm not a hardcore racing game fanatic. I got this wheel more for using it with a particular driving sim more than racing games though I use it on a few that I own as well. Also I got it strictly for use with PC.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Given the price the wheel is easily worth 5 stars. It's responsive and comfortable to use. It is very small compared to an actual steering wheel so that takes getting used to. You need _very_ small movements, especially if you use the high sensitivity mode. Switching between the two hardware sensitivities is very simple (just press up on the directional pad and pull both gear shift flaps toward you). Downloading and installing the drivers is simple and straightforward and the whole unit is just well put together. It's also got more than enough buttons for my needs. Getting it to work with the simulation took some finagling but that's due to the sim itself not the wheel and it worked with the racing game right off the bat. All in all, it's a great purchase and well worth the cost. Really that's the most important thing. =)

This is the first time I've gotten a defective item that has only been able to be used for a few days before it stopped working. Received this item (international order) about 4 days ago. Started using it 3 days ago. It worked great for the past 2 days. Having only been playing gran turismo 5 with this wheel. After a while (today), while driving, the car suddenly turned to the left while I was turning right. So, I thought it was a 'defect' of the car. That being said, I exited the race, then reopened it. When the race started, it turned to the left without me even turning the wheel. So I got quite worried. That being said, after I exited the game, I noticed that the cursor in the game went to the farthest left icon in the menu in the game without me even pressing a button on the wheel. After exiting the game, disconnecting the wheel and restarting the ps3 (while the wheel was connected AND disconnected on two accounts), the wheel was not working, in that, if I turned the wheel left or right, I got no response. I can only use the buttons themselves and the pedals, not the physical wheel. Seeing as how I'm a bloody international buyer, I'm quite disappointed, very...very disappointed, since I will have difficulty in sending this item back. I'm a 19 year old, not a child. I haven't been acting like tarzan and wildly turning this wheel. Take a look at this wheel's design and durability again Thrustmaster.

IT works great but I found myself so used to the controller that I still use the controller on hard Matches when playing Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012 but other then that It works great and its a lot cheaper then others works on my PS3 and Driving Simulator on my PC as well. Cons are how small it is and no place to mount it lol

Very nice wheel. I have VERY small hands so it was perfect. Even my friend, who has HUGE hands it worked great for him too. The petals on the other hand, are very easy to push. The break petal has a little bit of resistance, but it's not a lot. Still a great wheel if you have small hands.UPDATE: My shift up paddle shifter broke while I was racing, and there is a piece of plastic stuck in the steering wheel and now its SUPER loud and half impossible to use for any game. I recommend you save up and get a wheel such as a Thrustmaster T500RS, Logitech Driving Force GT or a Logitech G27.

This wheel arrived in pristine new condition and was packaged very well. In the package you get the steering wheel the clamp and the pedals as well as a owners manual. it was hard for me to get it to work for the first couple of days. But I got it to work pretty good now. The trick you need to know is: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE PEDALS FROM THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN YOUR FINISHED WITH IT!!!! If you don't it may not work every time you plug it up to your ps3 or pc.Another thing I noticed about it is that it has a little lag when you turn but other than that it is a pretty good wheel.

This Steering Wheel is indeed very small, is made of 100% plastic and is at the bottom of the steering wheel product from Thrustmaster. That being said, it works very well, is fun to drive, is sturdy just enough and, at that price, I could not be happier!Just be sure to switch to the PC mode setting to use the pedal on a computer and/or press both brake and gas pedals at the same time and press the home button on the center of the wheel. The light on the will become Green. VOILÀ! Everything now works perfectly!

This product worked well and was great value for the money. The only fault I could find was that the steering wheel was a bit small for adults but fine for children. It was easy to set up and functioned well. I did later purchase USB extension cords so the units could be placed further from the TV.

It's a lot smaller than I expected. Not really useful and doesn't give the same experience as a bigger wheel.
