This is so freaking adorable, it should be illegal. What a fun item. The two teacups have different faces painted on them. The tray has shaped spaces to put the desserts, so it teaches about shapes and hand-eye coordination. The teapot is so cute! When you tip the teapot, it plays a sound effect that sounds like water pouring. The teapot has three settings. Each setting has different "tunes."Here's a breakdown:123 Setting (It's Learning Time):Open and close the lid and it says, "Open/Closed" "Hello/Bye Bye" "Up/Down", so it teaches about opposites.Push the teabag label on the side by the teapot's eye and it plays a song about shapes.Musical Notes Setting (It's Music Time):Open and close the lid and it plays a jingle.Push the teabag label on the side by the teapot's eye and it plays a song about sharing, please, and thank you to the melody of "Rule, Brittania!." Push it again and it sings a song about having tea.Swirly Setting (Boiling Water Sound):Open and close the lid and it plays a little girl laughing and some noise that kinda sounds like a frog croaking.Push the teabag label on the side by the teapot's eye and it whistles "Oh du lieber Augustin."Pay no attention to the xenophobic reviewer complaining about the fake British accent. This is for play time, which is imagination time!

Oh my goodness this teas set is adorable. A lot of the other reviews on here complain about not being able to add water to pour and so on, but keep in mind this is for LITTLE ones that are 6 months and up. They will not have the ability to pour anything let alone drink from the cups. For it's purpose it was designed it is a fantastic toy. My niece loves the sounds and the pieces are appropriate for her age of 10 months. Nothing to choke on or swallow and she gets the feel of holding a cup and plate. We're hoping it will help with feeding herself when she is older. I highly recommend this toy for those under 3 years of age as it is a perfect way to teach them from the beginning please, thank you, holding a cup and manners. Be warned if you purchase the frustration free packaging it is just a plain brown box, no pictures to let smaller children know what is inside. So if this is being given as a gift to a child that can not read yet, they will have no idea what is in the box. Have fun, we play with this EVERY day.

I can't really give a solid review of this product yet, as I bought this for a Christmas present for my niece. But, when it arrived, I did take it out of the package, just to make sure it was working. I was surprised at the size of it; it was a bit smaller than I was expecting, but I guess that makes it easier for smaller hands. I love the imagination setting (lets you pretend you're serving tea with the "actual" sound effects).I'm hoping that this toy will stand up to being used, as I hope that my niece and daughter can have tea parties together.(As a note, my niece will be one at the end of December and my daughter will be one in February)

Ordered this tea set for my toddler aged grandkids. It's adorable, well made...the perfect first tea set! It makes sounds like liquid being poured. it plays happy songs, the lid opens and closes, or you can play with it without all the sounds and songs too! They love the pretend (plastic) little cakes and plate and cups that come in the set. Appropriate for boys and girls! A great interactive toy!

We got this tea set when my daughter was about 18 months old. It was an instant hit with her! Her favorite part is "pouring the tea" and hearing the sound effect that makes it sound like real tea being poured. We have a play group that comes to our house occasionally that is a mix of boys and girls in the 2 - 3 year old range. ALL the kids love pouring the tea, and this tea set seems to get played with almost every time someone comes over. Sometimes my daughter will wake up before the rest of us and bring in a cup of tea and a piece of cake from this set and leave it on my nightstand. SO cute! She is now almost 4 years old and the tea set still comes out at every tea party.

OMG, I can't tell you how adorable this tea set is. We gave it to our 20-month old daughter at Christmas; and she still plays with it 6 months later. The sounds it makes are the CUTEST and she loves pouring the tea and handing me the cakes. When you pour, it makes a sound of pouring tea. It has different modes, tea sounds and music sounds. It even says things like "mmm, more please" and plays a song about saying Thank you. My favorite is till the "tea pouring sound" though. Everyone who has seen it loves it. It's also very well made. I think she will continue to play with it for a long time too. I highly recommend this for any little girl you know!

I bought this tea set for a one year old that I babysit a few times a week - she adores it! I ordered the no fuss packaging and she was able to play with it straight out of the box. Whenever I see her, she wants to play with the tea set. The pot is adorable and isn't too heavy for her to pick up. The cups are the perfect size for her, but not so small that she won't be able to use them as she gets older. I bought this product with the hope that she could still use it when she gets older - throwing tea parties like we all did as little girls. I'm happy to say that she adores it. Her mother is thrilled. Highly recommended.

I bought this for a bday gift for a child and it came in just as I planned, the day before party! HOWEVER...... The presentation SUCKED!! REALLY Amazon! You should be ashamed of yourself. This should have come in the original fisher price sealed packaging. NOT in a tiny card board box, like it was picked up at a tag sale on the side of the road or was it some return item. It looks like I had a toy in my house I no longer wanted, and decided to give it away as a gift. I cannot give this as present. I am discussed and disappointed with amazon not fisher price !
