Kucharek Barszcz Czerwony Instant Red Borscht Soup Mix (5-Pack)

Trust me when I say it tastes like homemade soup. I add beets and top with a dollop of sour cream. No one know it only took me 10 minutes to cook.

Very good flavor and much faster to make the stock. I still put in a lot of beets, parsnip, some rib bone / meat, etc. like my Mom did when I was a kid, but this just makes it much faster to get there.

Thought I would try this soup to see if it measures up to homemade, to my surprise I found it delicious!This instant soup is just what I needed as it is just the perfect size for me.I love borscht but when I make it from scratch I make too much for one person. So now I’ve got this soup I don’t end up throwing away leftovers.I hope you enjoy this soup as much as I do.

No cooks in this household .We'd recommend this it's not as good as the Fourth Street Deli in Philly but it's scratches the itch. We'll buy it again.Good value.

I first tried it at my friends home during Christmas and I loved it. I bought it here and it is exactly the same taste that I love. It is a great product and tastes great with "Uszka" by Alexandra's Pierogi.That's a pierogi company in Chicago with an internet store and home delivery.But there is a downside. People don't know how to prepare it. The instructions are terrible.I wasn't sure what to do and after trial and error I figured it is best to make a whole package at once.This is why I am deducting 2 stars from the maximum. You can't sell a product without instructions.It is idiotic.The printed instructions says (*IN POLISH!) that you need to mix 200 ml boiling water with 2 spoons of product. Who in the world made that instruction for us?It is simply terrible and is very misleading.Our spoons here are much bigger than in Europe.They should never say to use 2 spoons.Because what spoons? Big spoons? Small spoons?I see 1 star opinions and I am realizing the people made the same mistakes that I did, when preparing it.So don't mix 1 cup. It is not easy. Just take 800 ml of boiling water (27 ounces or 4 cups) and drop the whole pack inside.Later keep the soup in the fridge if you don't use the whole thing.I kept mine for a week and it tasted great.I hope someone in that company learns one day how to print instructions on the package.
