and it is working great. Plumbing couldn't have been easier and in fact ...
I used this pump under a utility sink, plumbed into an existing drain outlet, and it is working great. Plumbing couldn't have been easier and in fact I hadn't done any plumbing previously, but it went great, no leaks, and works well. The only point I'd make is that this unit requires venting and based on the suction at the vent, I tend to agree with the instructions that a "cheater vent" or Air Admittance Valve wont work. This means that if you don't have a conventional vent solution, you will have an open vent - which may or may not be an issue. For me, our washer drains into the utility sink and when the pump gets enough water, it pushes the water up and out into a grey drain outside. Sometimes though, the water that sits in the pump can get a smell to it and you can, at times, smell it from the vent when the pump kicks on. This doesn't happen that often, and if you were to rinse with clean water after the washer drained, it would never be a problem. Its not really an issue for us, certainly not enough to worry about it, but something to consider based on your application and installation location.

Old Reliable
This is a really good pump. We built an addition on our house for my sick parents and it included a kitchen. The builder was not able to tie in to the existing plumbing without adding this pump. I would pull the pump every 6-8 months and pressure wash the inside to remove the buildup that, if I did not clean it, would cause the float to stick. Had the first unit 10 years and just replaced it with the same unit. I kept the original as it did not have a problem but I felt it was time for replacement. Liberty makes good stuff!

Realy nice pump.
I couldn't discharge washing machine waste water into my fields anymore, washing machine is below my city clean out. I researched and decided to use the bur-cam under the laundry sink pump. I used scheduled 40 1 1/2 PVC for all connectlions and was proud of my work. I filled the sink with water and the pump started to discharge but a moment later the motor on the pump started to spark wildly and suddenly shut off. I was pissed. I contacted the vendor and they refunded me. I came across this Liberty pump and decided to purchase. I'm glad I did, this pump rocks and leaves no water in the sink, other pump requires a few inches of water to activate. The pump is very quite in operation. You won't be disappointed.

Great design
This was very easy to install in my bar and i love the access at the top in the even the float switch needs to be replaced, I don't have to break the seal to the whole reservoir. Since I installed it in March 2019 I haven't have any problems. I thought is was a little costly and I hate that the manual does not show a pictorial view of the float switch with the Model number next to it. This would've have been very helpful in the vent you want to purchase a spare float switch and keep for an emergency...keep in mind the float switch came sealed in the reservoir.

Quality Product that Performs as Advertised
Have been using this pump for several weeks now after installation, and it has been operating flawlessly so far. Installation was straightforward with no particular problems. As with all pumps of this type, it will take much more operating time before it's true reliability can be assessed. Right now I am pleased. I would recommend it. I also have liberty sump pumps, and the brand have been an excellent performer for us. They are good value for the price.

Works perfect and is nearly silent
Works perfect and is nearly silent. Only issue I had during install was the vent I bought from lowes only allowed air in and not out. For this pump to work the air must be pushed out the vent to allow the water to flow into it. A couple drill holes on top of the vent fixed that. Otherwise the pump is flawless.

Nice setup.
I t doesn't get any easier than the Liberty pump. I had a gray water line that didn't meet code in my area. I needed to connect to the septic line which is up off the ground and near the cieling of the basement. I did a search and found this unit. price was right, and it appeared from the reviews it would do the job for me. It did. Eay setup. A little pvc plumbing to connect to the septic line, connection to the laundry sink, in line check valve and I was up and running. I did add a ball shut off valve to reduce the output pressure from the pump. If you you are a bit handy and can follow instructions you can put this pump in. Nice setup.

The Perfect Laundry Room Pump!
I installed this Liberty 404 Pump several weeks ago and it has performed beyond expectations! Our washer, located below grade in our basement, empties into a laundry sink that is connected to this pump. Not only does it pump the water vertically 8 feet (through a Campbell check valve) flawlessly, it is also extremely quiet as it does so with no vibration. It is built well and intelligently designed. Highly recommended!
