Woodstock Wind Chimes for Outside Garden Decor, Outdoor Patio Porch Decor 11" Wind Bell Style Wind Chimes Owl Wind Bell (COWL)

I plan to give this as a gift, but would like one for myself. I received a very large, handmade windbell as a gift a few years ago. I’ve always loved it! My husband doesn’t like the sound of wind chimes, but he likes the bell. It takes a lot more wind to make it ring, so it doesn’t get annoying. It does still ring though. This owl will be the same. It will take a strong wind to make it ring, so it won’t be overbearing. I have been looking at it for a while, but some reviews state that it sounds like ceramic or pottery hitting. I wanted one that sounded like a bell and this is kind of expensive for how small it is. I finally gave in due to good reviews. It does sound like a bell. It doesn’t have the light chiming sound of a true chime. It has a deeper sound like a big bell, but it does hit a true note. It doesn’t just sound like ceramic or pottery clanking together. So, if you want to hear a deep bell sound that won’t ring with the slightest breeze, this is it!

I was expecting something a little big bigger.

This is a sweet little...hanger. Not exactly what I would call a windchime as it is quite thick and heavy. It would take some strong winds to move the clapper and then rather than a chime, one would hear a click like pottery hitting pottery. Why? Cause that's is what it is! Too, don't be mislead by the word 'Large' in the description. Remember the owl itself is only 4-5" in size (maybe the size of a fist) while the hanger accounts for the other 4-5". Nonetheless I like it a lot. Being a huge bird-lover I like the theme and it adds a bit of whimsy and warmth to our patio. We enjoy the occasional 'click' (really not a great word, but at a loss for another) and gentle movements it makes. Love the color as well. Happy with purchase and would buy again.

Whimsical and delightful owl makes me so happy! Durable, low-toned bell is soothing. I wanted something earthy, lasting, that does not make a lot of high-pitched noise. We hear from him, though. Sort of a cowbell-type sound if it's windy. I should probably buy a backup because he's irreplaceable to me.

Hung this under patio roof. Have alot of decorative owls in backyard. This one is very handsome.

I love Woodstock chimes and this was no exception. The little owl was adorable! I bought two ...one for my mother and one for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day and I'm thinking about getting one for myself since it was so cute!

Nice looking wind chime. It is the size of a large apple. Takes a stout wind to make it chime. Pleasant sound but different from a larger wind bell.

It's small and looks cute in the garden. Would need a strong wind to make it chime, is more for decoration I think.
