BIG, awesome
For the price you cannot beat this net. It seems to be very sturdy and is super long. The beachwood construction is springy and feels lightweight. The finish is what you would expect for the price. The rubber had some physical memory from being packaged but I put a bath towel and something heavy inside and let it hang and it should right itself. The basket is oblong shaped and seems kind of narrow at 10" wide and 19.5" long. Weighed down the basket slumps to about 12" deep. The bottom of the basket is around 12" long and 8" wide with weight in it.The handle has numbers on it, I'm guessing they are measurements but the are relatively inaccurate from either direction on the handle. The handle is 15.75" long.I have caught several large trout up to 20" with no problem with this net, they can't flop out.

Good first impression
Seems strong. Light weight. However the screw in the bottom is not completely centered. I can tell these are mass produced in china but it seems to be a quality net overall. good buy for the price and great to start fly fishing with. No need for those $150 nets.

Lovely and nice net for the price
The makers seemed to listen to the reviews that the netting material allowed small fish to fall through the netting. The netting material on the net I received was tighter than that pictured on the web post. Although, I have no idea why anyone needs to net a small fish.

Great net for the money
This net is on the larger size has a 20x10 opening for bigger fish. It also has an extended handle for reaching out a little further. The net webbing was very nice pliable but not too stiff. The workmanship and finishing details were very nice, especially considering the low price of the net would definitely recommend it

Very nice net
The net is well made and beautiful. It was a gift. I regret buying a 150 dollar net. This net is cheap but only in price.

Impressive net
For the price I’d have a very very hard time recommending anything else. Is it perfect? No, the clear coat is chipped in one spot and it doesn’t quite look as good as your $100+ nets but again for the price? I’ll take this net any day of the week. You fall or your boat tips and you lose it? Well $30 it’s a heck of a lot easier to spend on a net than the others out there for 3-4x the price

First impression: improved since earlier reviews
I just got this and haven’t gotten on the water yet with it. I generally don’t love it when folks post these kinds of reviews, but wanted to make sure to at least get some photos up highlighting one key point: as at least one other reviewer has noted, the net bag is different than the one in the product pictures, and addresses the concerns raised in earlier reviews about smaller fish slipping through the net. The current version has holes about the same size as on my Handy Pak net, and look to me to be about the same size as higher end nets too. I doubt the net bag material (or the thread tying the net bag on) is of comparable quality, but I’m balancing that against the fact that I’d need to buy six of these to get into the same cost range as a Fishpond or a Simms Daymaker or whatever. The specific dimensions of this net (long, narrower hoop combined with mid length handle under ~20”) don’t really exist much, and I wasn’t looking to spend $170 on a Fishpond Emerger (which is comparable in dimension), so as long as this thing doesn’t self destruct in a year I’d say it’s a pretty good option.UPDATE: I got out for an hour before work the other day. Handle length seems pretty ideal both for tucking into a belt/waist pack securely and for reaching down to net fish when I’m on shore rather than wading. Also feeling pretty good that I won’t loose anything through the net holes unless it’s really tiny. Can’t speak to durability yet.

Great net
ive lost fish over the years for having a short handle net. A couple weeks ago i caught my biggest brown trout, and when trying to work the fish into the net for what seemed like 3 minutes, he finally worked himself off the hook and took off. I decided enough was enough. My local shops had nothing suitable. And when i saw this for 67 canadian bucks i figured it would be worth trying. Had it out once with the baby, after 10 mins caught one 12” brookie, was so easy to land with the fly rod it was a joke. first impressions are great!

Good size net
Good size net.Wanted something a little bigger than the standard one everyone has, but what I wanted most was a long handle like this one has.Satisfied.

Great net
The media could not be loaded. Light with a large and well made basket. Stitching is a little iffy but a couple zip ties will keep everything tight. Handles large fish with ease. Recommend!
