Excellent. We bought several different types to test out. These were the instant winners, coming up as the best among other brands that were twice as expensive. We tested them out ignoring the cost and these won hands-down. They were noticeably light weight (felt much lighter than more expensive compact binoculars of different brands even though the specs suggested comparable weights). They were strongly and significantly more clear than our other choices. My husband has older eyes with everything that comes with that, and he too found them clear and easy to focus and look through. Very comfortable in our hands (my hands are small, my husband has large hands). Nice case (would prefer a hard-shell case, but this was soft).

Positive: 5 stars for the binoculars. Seem solid. Clear optics. Easy to adjust and comfortable to use w/ my glasses.Negative: The case is nice but the 'chest rig' webbing is silly. Cumbersome to use and gets in the way. Straps everywhere. I replaced it w/ some webbing/pad for a shoulder sling.

They arrived quickly and without damage.I really like being able to focus them on nearby things (like 8 or 10 feet away) and the far away distance also focuses quite well. Not a bad pair of binoculars for this price point. I would recommend to friends and family. Not as powerfully as some but not so heavy to carry either. Great birding binoculars.

Great buy - as bright as my beloved Nikons. Wanted to get a pair of 10x42 for lake watching etc. Do the job well.

The image quality from these binoculars is truly amazing for under $300. I have an older set of Nikon 10X50 binoculars that I thought were really great - until I looked through the Vortex 10X40 ones. They are sharper and brighter and weigh 1/3 as much! If you can't justify buying a set of really high-end binoculars, you owe it to yourself to take a look through these Diamondbacks!

So as I get older it’s harder for me to see things clearly at a distance. I bought these binoculars for bow hunting, to judge the size and quality of deer. They work perfectly, not to big not to small. Very clear glass. why buy a $1.400 pair of binoculars to possibly damage hunting from elevated tree stand. Don’t get me wrong, I have high end hunting equipment but these are more than adequate for my purpose.

These were purchased as a gift for my husband. He is very pleased with these binoculars. Good value for the money. I would purchase again
