I’ve been using this USB-C to HDMI adapter for a few weeks with my MacBook Pro 2018 and it works exactly as expected — the video and audio output is crisp and stable, with no lag or flickering. It easily supports 4K resolution, and setup was completely plug-and-play.The build quality feels solid and compact, which is perfect for travel or desktop use. Cracking little device used it to connect my tablet to tv in a hotel room (via HDMI cable) and worked perfectly with no additional set up.Doesnt' charge the device however sadly (although it wouldn't inherently via HDMI i know) there is no way to connect a charger at the same time if you only have the one USB-C port for charging and output.

This adapter promised a smooth and simple way to connect USB C devices to HDMI displays in glorious 4K. Sadly, it struggles with even basic functionality. On first use, it took several attempts to recognise the connection, and when it finally did, the image flickered more than a cheap disco light.The build is basic but not terrible, and it plugs in without feeling too loose. However, performance is completely unreliable. Output quality never reached proper 4K clarity, and on multiple devices the connection was either unstable or failed entirely. It often needed to be unplugged and replugged multiple times before it did anything at all.Audio transmission was hit and miss, with occasional delays and a tendency to drop out entirely during longer sessions. This makes it completely unsuitable for presentations, gaming or any sort of dependable use. The whole thing feels like a gamble every time you plug it in.For something that claims to offer high resolution output, it fails on a very basic level. Even at a budget price, it is hard to justify keeping. A frustrating and pointless purchase.
