I write this review as an individual born and raised in the Mediterranean and now finding himself in the US as an adult migrant. I routinely work in Italy as part of my research and I have grown accustomed to finding Nduja at cheap prices with wonderful flavor.Over these past months, I have searched for a US based seller since this country refuses us the right to bring back pork products. While I admittedly find the price to be high (remember I am accustomed to purchasing this in my local supermarket with no problem), I think this US-made product parallels the Italian original. You get two packages of deliciously hot Nduja that can make countless pasta dishes and numerous impulsive snacks.I'd say that aside from the casing used (the original Nduja is stored in stomachs) and the price, you get about 1 pound of a great product. The flavor is right and these guys seem to be the only worthwhile makers of a wonderful Calabrian culinary heritage. I'm satisfied overall.

Holy Smashed Cold Cuts!
Spreadable, spicy salami?! I was completely charmed by the notion of a deli meat you can smear on crackers or crusty bread. It's as brilliant as Easy Cheese. However I'm not sold on the overall texture. Since this is my first run-in with nduja I'm not sure what how it's supposed to be made. This one seems like they took a soft cured salami in its casing and ran it through a Cuisinart. There are bits of the casing throughout the meat and they're pretty un-chewable. Really takes away from the experience.

Really adds depth and richness to the overall flavor of a meal
What a different, fun, interesting food. Nduja is new to us and we very much enjoyed it and willbe sharing part of our order with friends and family. I can see continuing to incorporateit into appetizers, homemade pizza, and as a "mystery undertone layer" ingredient to someof our dishes. It really adds depth and richness to the overall flavor of a meal.We did call the makers about best storage practices and expirationand was told the following:- Try to keep the original casing as complete as possible and use it to wrap the open end- Scoop out or slice only what is needed- Keep airtight with plastic wrap or some other type of sealer; there may be some darkening of air-exposed product as it oxidizes, this not a concern and the product will still be good.- Refrigerate- Lifespan/expiration, 6 months or so

Lots of fat, not much meat
My wife and I got hooked on Nduja when a local gourmet market started selling it. After they discontinued it, we had to look for a new source, and tried this one. The flavor of this product is pretty much identical to what we tried previously, an Nduja made by La Quercia, but this version was much fattier--it seems to have very little actual meat, and is almost like highly spiced pork fat. If you can find the La Quercia version, it has much more meaty substance, while still being spreadable.

A tasty spicy spreadable
Saw it mentioned once on a TV cooking show and it sounded intriguing so I bought some. It's a great spread for crackers or crostini if you like spicy foods. It is a spicy spreadable pepperoni (I'm referring to the American pepperoni, i.e.meat, not the Italian pepperoni, i.e. peppers). The company says "Spreadable Salami," but think instead spreadable pepperoni. I keep it refrigerated but warm to room temperature before trying to spread it. If it weren't somewhat expensive I could get hooked on it.

I had a dish in London recently on a trip and couldn't place the flavor they used. When I looked at the menu on line the dish had Nduja and I could only find it on Amazon. When it arrived I used it in recreating the dish and it was perfect! Keep in mind this is VERY greasy so you don't need a lot. It has a wonderful spicy flavor with a vinegar note to it which is perfect. It lasts forever in the fridge and can be used in everything from shrimp to bolognese - very versatile. I will definitely be ordering more.

Delicioius, smoky, spreadable sausage
A very good sausage. Comes wrapped in plastic as shown, and is easy to spread cold, though letting it set at room temperature for a whiles improves it's spreadability. The sausage itself has a nice, smoky, spicy flavor. I use it on pizza, spread with the tomato sauce, but have also used it on pastas and sandwiches. Only one or two ounces of the sausage can flavor the entire pizza or pasta, which is good because (as it's spreadable), it's moderately fatty. The sausage adds a unique flavor and texture to the meal, one that's hard to beat.

Nice food accent
I just spread some nduja on a savory French pastry before heating it in my toaster oven: wonderful! It added a little kick and texture, and I'd call the flavor comfortable. Considering that it only takes a spoonful or two to dress up a basic item (toasted bread, eggs, veggies, etc.) I don't consider it overly expensive at all. Will definitely buy again.
