Just what I wanted

Needed something that I could throw in a bike for a trip. These were inexpensive and fit the bill. No complaints.

These are simple open+box end wrenches of the type I used to go to Sears/Craftsman for. Alas, those days are gone with many of us having to settle for big box stores filled with tools you can also get at HF for half the price. Those tools tend to be of mixed quality. They are often the inspiration for "cheap Chinese" as a descriptor. This set of wrenches must have come from the "good" factory because they are really nice. Well finished, durable and with accurate opening sizes. The jaws don't just "peen" when used to force a bolt head and I don't feel like I'm going to break one of the handles.The roll-up case is decent and keeps this small set organized. It is sturdy enough for civilian use, that's for sure.Overall, I'm super happy with this set of wrenches - it is definitely an upgrade vs. HF.

The size and case this set comes in make it handy for keeping in the truck. While they aren't name brand, there's nothing cheap feeling or looking about them. They have a bright chrome finish to them, no signs of rust and they're not "bendy". These aren't dollar store tools. They're better than that. It's a nice set and the roll up case they come in makes them especially portable for keeping tucked away somewhere.

This Convy GJ-0017 Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set exceeded my expectations. It is not the highest quality of forged steel but it certainly of good quality steel and a good value as a set. It is outstanding as far its usefulness because all the sizes are laid out in size sequence and it is all together which helps a lot (see photo). The cloth carrying case marks the sizes of the wrenches and very conveniently folds them into a small, easy to carry folder (see photo). This makes it ideal to take to my current projects. It even fits in my pocket. I like this set.

There's really nothing wrong with these, so three stars may be a bit stingy, but I have a feeling that they are packaged as 6-17mm so that it looks like a big set, and the buyer might overlook the fact that so many standard sizes are missing. So just be aware. And to me, what's the point of having a roll-up case when the set is incomplete? There's no room for the other standard sizes you will likely want.Also, they are shorter than other standard wrenches I have in the same size. Not a huge deal, but you may not get as much leverage as you might otherwise.Finally, they all say "CHROME-VANADIUM" on them, instead of a brand name, making them seem extra generic.
