Water Style for Beginners Helen Liang Liuhebafa Dvd

Good for it's intended audience. A timely introduction to one of the most advanced styles of Chinese martial arts in current practice. Master Liang takes time to show the movement with the "flavor" for the movements. This flavor is a necessary imperative for practice of this sort of method, being that the principle behind the method is of greater significance than the techniques used and practiced. If one can grasp this understanding, and is ready for deeper martial practice, this is the figurative hand that will lead the student of gongfu into those waters.

I bought a copy of this disc directly from the sellers @ymaa. Problem is my dvds are saying "cannot play disc"

Liu He Ba Fa is performed by Sifu Helen Liang a well-known martial artist. She began practicing Chinese arts at the age of four and it shows in her demonstration and teaching of the form. It is a very well-done video series.

Excellent work from Helen Liang I respect so much.She knows her art and glows kindness and wisdom.Highly recommended.

Helen Liang gives a detailed explanation of the theory and principles of Water style to help you to understand better this complex system of internal martial arts. Steeped in the culture of China, this form passed down to Helen from her father can be a complete health system. Helen takes the time to give clear explanations of every move, going slowly and allowing for you to follow. Step by step instructions from a master who demonstrates moves at a level that a beginner could follow. No video can replace being in person with a teacher, but you feel as if you are in a class with Helen. She gives you the names of the movements and they are also printed on the screen. There are numerous demonstration from various angles. I highly recommend this video and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

I bought this CD cause how it was advertised,She starts off by saying she will go slow. Its not true, you would need to be advance to do so.Thank god for Amazon no problem in returning this CD.As far as i am concern She does not even deserve one star but I had no choice if my review had a chance of being written for public to see.

Helen Liang performs the Liu He Ba Fa form excellent and gives a precise and very detailed instruction in the 67-movement-form.But the dvd is not suitable at all for beginners. The form is much too long and too complicated. The dvd may be useful for those, who have already learned the complete form from a real teacher in a course. These users will have a great benefit from the dvd.
