It's a trivet. It holds hot stuff. It's pretty, looks nicely made.To sum up: it's a heavy metal thing that holds other heavymetal things that get hot.I'd say it meets all the requirements. Thus, the 5 rating.

I bought this trivet for a sixth anniversary gift, as it is made of iron. It is as lovely as shown...and the couple appreciated the hearts in the design!

The product was received in excellent condition and was very beautiful. It was a great match for a tea set I bought. Product took a little longer to receive, but it was worth it.

2 of the 3 legs (feet) were really sharp and would scratch the top of our wood stove. It has removable rubber feet so if you’re not wanting to use it on a wood stove it will have protection for your counter. If you lose the rubber feet and they are sharp and will scratch surfaces. Also the one we got wasn’t cast right. It had chunks on the side that made it uneven. Not super bad, but made me think it was a reject. May have overlooked it if the little feet weren’t sharp. But two things were wrong so I returned.

Ordered to go along with the Ruby Lotus Top Steamer, but it turned out not to be necessary. The Trivet is round where the Steamers are all oval. The trivet ships with rubber feet, which will of course melt all over your stove if you leave the on. Mine arrived damaged, all chipped up. Returned for refund.
