Best color
I don’t even know how many times I have purchased this. It is great for in between visits. True color, easy to use. And I can’t get in stores!

Love it!
I started using this during the height of Covid, when salons were closed, to cover my grey roots. I had never colored my own hair before, as it is a rather unique shade of auburn, and I was terrified of screwing up my hair/color. I put my nerves aside, and never looked back. It matches well, is easy to use, and now I only go to the salon about 4 times a year to touch up my roots (this won't do my whole head at once, unless I use more than one box). I even use it on my eyebrows, as they get dull too. It never stains my skin, so I don't have to hide the Eddie Munster hairline I get after a visit to the salon. Did I mention it saves me a lot of money too? A total win.

Best root touch-up!
I've tried multiple different root touch-up options. This is the only one remotely close to matching my hair. Not too dark or orangey. Super simple to use. My only complaint is I wish there was more product in each package. I like to do all my roots, not just my part and front of my hair as I part my hair different ways & occasionally pull it up. I order 2 boxes at a time for this reason. Still less expensive than paying to have my roots touched up every 4-5 weeks in between salon appointments. I hope this color remains available.

Works but could use more
If you r doing touch up it’s fine but will cover only around face. Not enough for parts. Great small brush gives more control. I save them. Do go job

Expired product
I purchased this in June of this year. When I opened the sealed box, I found the color activating bottle empty with the product dried up outside of it. I called Clairol and when the asked me for the barcode number, I had to first remove the “Best By: 03-31-2025” sticker. When I then read the number to the Clairol customer service rep, she informed me this particular box was packaged in 2017 and expired in 2021. The seller definitely misled on this purchase. Not happy.

Perfect match!
Amazing product! Clairol Root Touch-Up Permanent Hair Color - 5 Medium Brown is a perfect match for Clairol Nice'n Easy Perfect 10 Permanent Hair Color, 6 Light Brown (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E95GVE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1). For reference, my natural hair is dark brown and at this point, I only need to touch up my roots. I have long, thick, voluminous hair and this product is more than enough to cover the few grays I have. Covered is great but I do wait 20 minutes instead of the recommended 10 before washing my hair, just in case. I touch up my roots with this product every 3 weeks and do full hair every 4 months with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E95GVE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1. I'm saving a lot of money with this method. Hope this helps someone.

If you are "touching up" grey choose the darker colors.
I love this product for its super fast development time (10 minutes). It is really great for virgin hair. But if you are covering grey you need to choose darker colors otherwise you are looking at bright orange ("Carrot Top style if you choose the medium browns) or no difference at all (if you choose the blonde colors). I use the 4 and 5 ranges. Sometimes I blend them and they look fantastic. I don't know how natural blondes use this and see realistic results.
