This is a very informative guidebook, especially on the cultural, historical and archaeological aspects of Malta. It also seems bang up to date and accurate with the general price ranges for things like restaurants and hotels. There were a couple of sites across the island that I visited by local bus simply based on articles and pages in this guide -- and I found they added to my enjoyment of the places.

Been using this guide for 10 days and I'm chuffed! The amount of research gone into this guide is phenomenal. I've used it to visit the prehistoric and roman sites and so far so very good. The explanations are to the point and insightful, you can tell the author has done detailed research. I'm using these guides for the cultural and historical background, but the practical info seems to be spot an too: opening times, price, buses etc... But always better to double check on the net. All in all so worth the price and totally recommend.
