A bit expensive for salt no matter how pure. It was however the least expensive I could find on Amazon.

Arrived swiftly. Worked well as expected. There was some clumped together but that's expected without anything to keep it from caking. I did notice a couple of small black particles, but nothing concerning. Overall I was satisfied eith the product.

What will happen if I use for food purposes? I already opened it and didn't realize it was for lab use only.

This product is not food grade. According to everything I could find out about it. I was told not to use it as salt. But the listing for the product does not prominently say that. The fact that it highlights it is 99.9% sure would make one think that it is food grade.When I reached out to the seller they explained that they are a repackager and although the product was food grade when they purchased it. As soon as they opened it up to repackage it, it could not be considered food grade anymore. That is because they are not a licensed repackageer according to the FDA.I got my money back and sellers explanation was reasonable. But I still think they should have more prominently displayed the fact that not considered food grade by the FDA
