Had to order replacement which is working well
First battery did no charge properly, a hassle free replacement was provided and it is working well. Battery life is slightly less than OEM battery, but good value

It works -- but doesn't match run time of DeWalt battery and is not a good value
UPDATED: Dropped to 1 star. Returned original battery and received replacement. It only runs 7.5 minutes on my DeWalt backpack blower -- less than 1.6 minutes per Ah -- much worse than the 2.5 minutes per Ah the DeWalt batteries get.This replacement battery is also going to be returned. It is not a good value.ORIGINAL review (2 star):Price is good, and it fits and works in my DeWalt 40v tools. But falls well short of DeWalt performance. Tested on my backpack blower, a DeWalt 7.5amp battery runs 19 minutes. Therefore, this 5am battery should run 2/3 as long, so at least 12 minutes. However, it runs only 8 minutes.Further, DeWalt batteries run at nearly full power until the last couple of minutes when you notice lowering power, and then they stop dead. This battery starts slowing down the last couple of minutes and then stops. But if you wait a few seconds and try again, it will run for a few more seconds and again stop. You can repeat this several times to squeak out another maybe 30 seconds of output a few seconds at a time. Then it finally dies for good, but the gauge still shows 1-bar!In short, this is a cheap battery that works, but performance is much less than a DeWalt battery, and thereby eliminates any extra VALUE. So I have concluded I'm better off just paying for a DeWalt battery since you are getting considerably more power/use for a comparably sized battery.

Worked great! I was about to toss my 40 volt Dewalt tools when I found these on Amazon. Ordered one worked so well i ordered another one. Great battery power and life.

Excellent Value
I was concerned that this might not fit our DeWalt battery operated weed eater; or that it would be really heavy or not stay charged, but I’ve been quite pleased. It weighs the same, and fits perfectly in our weed eater. It charges quickly with our current charger & stays charged long enough to complete our front and back lawn which the previous battery could not do. Not sure how long it will last, but if it lasts two seasons, it will have more than paid for itself.

DeWalt not a good choice for cordless leaf blower.
Used in DeWalt leaf blower. Had similar power to original, but did not run quite as long before needing a recharge. But, better than not being able to use the blower as DeWalt, apparently, no longer makes a replacement and, if one is available, price is quite unbelievable.

Great value
Just received and the size is compatible with Dewalt. That's not always the case with third party batteries. The build quality is not as good as the OEM, but that is expected given the price. Have only put it through a couple cycles so far. Will update if they die early, but so far a good value. Externally, the 5.0 AH and the 7.5 AH are identical. The weight is different, so different cells or more of the same must be used inside.

Crapped out after 3 seasons, while original battery still kicking
Only lasted 3 summers. Original battery still works better. Not worth the money. Should have just bought a whole new mower.
