.EXACTLY WHAT I EXPECTED

I have a tendency to use items in a way that was not intended as the standard use. With this fanny pack i was initially surprised to see one. I remember back in the late 80's early 90's my sister as well as myself sported these things to the extreme. We were big fanny pack fans to the extend of painting with fabric paint on them so as to custom design them.This well made real leather fancy fanny pack from the Brass Tacks company made me think of a better updated use for in that fits my life.I recently purchased a used bike from a second hand store-and noticed it had an old 20 year old flimsy fanny pack attached to the fron by where the reflector safety light goes. I removed it right away after i took the bike back home. With this cool looking leather pack i am super pumped to attach it to my bike and ride in style. I do not get muddy when i ride- im not an extreme biker as i usually just ride it to the local running track where i really get down to it.Being that my bike riding is mild in relation to wear and tear this works as a fashion accessory while still being useful. I was riding this morning- before this neat pack came- and i was trying to listen to music and wished i could place my music device right in the center area. This is where the pack is going to serve another great function other that carrying water bottles etc. As depicted in the fourth picture there are card holders and an additional inner pocket that spans the whole width of the pack.If you look at my third pic you can see the well made straps. The item comes with a neat brown tote bag as shown in the first picture. This tote bag is made of fabric and can be used as a grocery bag as well.I enthusiastically recommend this leather quality fanny pack.

The waist/fanny pack has an attractive rustic look and comes with a lightweight fabric dust bag. The interior is fabric lined and has a panel with 4 ID/credit card slots along with two open pockets--one in front and one behind it along with a zippered compartment. The pack appears to be sewn well and everything looked fine until I tried to put it on.I realized the one I received has the adjustable strap attached on the sides of the pack in a vertical instead of horizontal direction. So the strap is attached to work as a carry handle but not as a waist belt. It is described as a waist/fanny pack but in that configuration it will not lay flat on the sides so it doesn’t look neat or feel comfortable. Disappointing—I expected to like the pack.

When I pulled this out of the bag if was definitely more substantial than I was expecting. It instantly screamed “cowboy” chic and I envisioned wearing it to a festival...but that ship has sailed. The only festival I’m having is the one in the backyard with my kids.But that being said this bag is very well made and very high quality and the leather will give a nice patina after a few years. It has a great amount of storage inside and space for all of your cards.Personally I didn’t think this fit very well as a fanny pack, but I really did like it as a crossbody which is definitely having a moment right now. I think this is great for throwing all your basic necessities in when you need to be hands free and not attached to a purse. Would also be perfect for traveling.

The leather they used for this is amazing. It has that vintage look, and the smell is like walking into a leather store as soon as you open the package. The bag is small enough that even though the bag is leather, it doesn't get too heavy. The only problem is the way the strap is connected to the bag is just the same as it would be if it was a handbag. So it isn't a great feel as a fanny pack, unless you wear it super loose.It's sized just large enough for keeping a battery pack in, cell phone and some cards and cash and such. The leather is amazing, it has just a slightly awkward angled waist strap.

Simply an amazing fanny pack. I have owned different types and shapes before, but this one is perfect. It isn't too big and just simply the perfect size. The zipper is very durable and slides perfectly. The calf-hide leather is unreal! Smells like genuine leather and it is not so strong. I usually put my phone inside, and my credit cards, along with other things. It is not too bulky and looks great - or at least, I like it :)

I was surprised how well-made this thing is. It's pretty heavy duty. And it's also good looking, or at least as good looking as a fanny pack can be.I'm not sure what possessed me to order it, as I wouldn't really wear a fanny pack in public, but that doesn't matter because my wife quickly absconded with mine and uses it for travel. It's just so much easier in the airport and other places having what you need to have with you all together in an easily accessible place. Especially at TSA checkpoints, but also when walking around in unfamiliar cities.So, if you're looking for a leather fanny pack, I can tell you that this one is well made and a good value.
