I purchased this tray for use in a Colonial Williamsburg period room. I was looking for a slightly rustic tavern look, the tray fit the bill perfectly. The tray is extremely lightweight but well made and sturdy. The dark finish is very attractive and rustic in nature, the metal brackets add to the colonial style. Although the wood is not lacquered or heavily finished its quite perfect for the intended use. If desirous of a more durable finish one can be added easily. The wood grain and texture can be easily felt, it's free of snags and potential splinters but definitely not perfectly smooth.I am extremely pleased with the purchase and value.

Just right for my needs - I use it as a tea tray, and it's perfect for holding a teapot, sweetener, small pitcher of milk, whatever. The right size and construction for one person's dinner or snack items, with the 1" lip to keep them all contained.

I wanted I little tray to use on my ottoman for drinks. It’s great and I lined the tray with some fabric to give it some extra style!

This tray is exactly what I was searching for as far as aesthetics goes. As other reviewers have already stated it's very lightweight but made well and serves its purpose. It looks exactly as shown.

Very pretty, but when I went to wipe it some of the stain came off. I’m not sure why this happened. I’m going to try to stain and seal it myself. It also had a weird odor.
