Broke in a week.
I am not amazingly strong! I am a 69 year old woman with some arthritis in my hand. I used the mortar and pestle, which I'd had for just over a week, to crush a tablet twice a day to add to my cat's food. The pestle has broken in half! I'd had another one of these for years, hence my buying the same product. I won't be buying this again!

Cute but Sturdy
The media could not be loaded. Right out of the box I fell in love. This is a smaller person size so I would not expect to use this if you need large supply batches. But sturdy as in this feels as heavy as actual marble and it is immobilized by a rubber padded bottom to ensure it doesn’t slip while grinding. A steal when quality is compared to the price. I’d purchase again.

Beautiful and Practical
This kitchen piece is not just a practical tool, but a very attractive statement piece. I'm quite picky about what I allow to be displayed on the counter, and this is an exception to the rule of "nothing. The marble is beautiful and I'm proud to have it out not only while I cook, but just for the mere look.It works well for dried spices and fresh herbs. I even used it for handmade guacamole.Marble stains easily, so be sure to wipe clean immediately.

Beautiful and durable
Durable, heavy and great size for the price! I was looking everywhere for one of these but all the other ones were smaller and much more expensiveIt shipped faster than expected also so that was a bonus!

Simple chic look cute for counter
Solid purchase. I put a few felt pads on the bottom so it didn’t hurt my marble counters. The bigger size is the way to go!
