Fragrant Yame Matcha

Naoki’s Fragrant Yame Blend is hands-down one of the best matcha powders I’ve tried. As soon as you open the pouch, you're greeted by a fresh, grassy aroma with subtle sweet undertones—it’s clear this is a high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha. The flavor is smooth, slightly umami with no bitterness, and it froths up beautifully for lattes or traditional whisked matcha. I love using it for my morning ritual—pairs perfectly with oat milk or just hot water. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but the quality justifies the price. I drink only ceremonial grade matcha and I usually drink it straight with nothing added. I love to drink both Taste of Kyoto Reserve and also Element matcha and Wilderness Poets ceremonial grade. This Naoki is a delightful matcha. I ordered the Fragrent Yame Blend. It is rich and creamy, sweet. There is a slight grassy bitterness, but I think I make it strong so that might not show up if made weaker. Beautiful bright green color. I hope it shows in the photos, I did not use a filter so the green that you see is just what it looks like in the sunlight. Instant high energy boost. Very fresh. I think the $25 I payed is a good price for this matcha.

Beautiful green color, the brighter the green the better the matcha and this one is amazing for the price and quality! As a matcha snob I love it :)

It’s a good tasting matcha but for the price I think there are better ones. I like Kiyo Shuga a lot these days.

I’ve drank matcha for years (and worked at Sbux) but never made my own at home. This matcha isn’t bitter at all (even if you go ham on the powder!). Has a natural sweetness and smoothness. Great with any milk preference. As someone who struggles to get quality sleep and struggles with crashing w caffeine, this is amazing. (Search up the benefits of L-Theanine in matcha!) Downside is honestly the price vs the serving size. Wish there was more in the product or the price was more affordable but so worth it.

I have ordered this matcha 3 times already and so far I enjoy it! The matcha is green and smells nice as I whisk it. This Yame blend is on the medium bodied side and easy to drink with very little bitterness to it. For the price point and how easily accessible it is, I will keep coming back for more!

I have ordered 3 different varieties of Naoki Matcha blends, and this one is my favorite! This Yame blend actually requires less sweetener than I usually add, which is a huge plus. ^_^ My 2nd favorite is the Superior Blend. The photos added include 2 scoops of Yame Match, 1/4 cup water for the matcha powder ... 1 cup of plain soy milk as the base, the matcha as the 2nd layer ... 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tbsp of brown sugar, and a dash more of soy milk to make the creamy foam top layer.

Not my favorite matcha… it was very grainy and chalky. Won’t recommend for the price… quality ain’t the best! It is okay though
