AidaptSteel Half Step (Eligible for VAT relief in the UK)

Robust, sturdy - does not move or flex when used - in short very safe and perfect for anyone with restricted mobility

This replaced a - much cheaper - plastic half-step as a booster for my diminutive wife when working in the kitchen. It is well made and should see us both out. Just one criticism - sharp corners. RATING NOW REVISED BELOWHave just downgraded my rating, as one of the mouldings into which the feet are located has broken without warning. The moulding is hidden from sight, so any impending failure cannot be seen. Whilst the item is heavy duty, as originally reviewed, the mouldings are plastic, which is obviously a weakness. The step has been used as a booster for my wife at the kitchen sink. It has NOT been subjected to any especially heavy weights. After my initial enthusiasm, the breakage is disappointing.

A good, well made, and strong step. My only concern is that if used by very elderly people, as it is likely to be, the sharp metal edges and corners could result in a nasty accident.
