Very Robust!
These should last a long time, they appear very robust in the simplicity of their design. No extending handles, no complicated lever actions, no feeble shock absorbers in fact nothing to go wrong or break. As long as you are strong enough they will tackle quite large branches, they are very sharp aim to keep them that way with a small sharpening stone for best results.

High quality, easy to use loppers
These are high quality loppers as you would expect from a German company (although they are made in Taiwan). The grips are comfortable to use and the carbon steel blades are sharp and cut well as you would expect with new blades. The 60 cm handle length gives good leverage and the jaw capacity of approximately 4 cms means you can tackle branches of that size, more if they are sappy. The loppers can also be broken down into individual components with the use of Alan keys and replaced if necessary. Unfortunately there are no instructions, just a warranty leaflet, but the website address is given on the handles.A gardener will find this tool fit for all pruning purposes up to its jaw capacity.

Shear quality
These are well-made, powerful loppers, which look as if they are heavy but they are surprisingly light and do the job without putting strain on your shoulders as you reach up. They are made of rust-proof carbon steel with non-slip soft grips on the handles. The blades by-pass each other instead of meeting, and this makes for a clean cut with no crushing or tearing of the plant stem/ branch. This will improve the look and the health of whatever you are pruning. Both blades can be unscrewed for sharpenening or replacement. On trying these out, we measured what they are capable of, and they easily slice through green wood over 3cms thick. A dead tree in our garden has 'turned to stone' over the years and we have been unable to reduce the size of it even with a hand saw. These loppers actually managed to cut through rock-hard wood, also 3cms, but I wouldn't recommend putting that much strain on the loppers on a regular basis. Our only criticism is that the description "long reach" is a bit misleading. Note that they are actually shorter at 60cm than most loppers (the extendable kind) BEFORE extending them. You can use these effectively up to the equivalent of ceiling height if you are a 6 footer like my husband.Very nice shears.

Sharp and light
I'm keen enough when it comes to gardening but I hate clipping stuff back, and I have a small array of tools to make it easier, the ones I use most are bypass loppers because they can handle thicker and thinner branches fairly easily where shears would stick. These loppers are fine, they are sharp enough, strong enough and light enough. They cut anything that you are strong enough to get through yourself.I do normally prefer telescopic loppers because you get the extra torque of the longer handle, but these are good enough and cheaper, and lighter because they have less weight in the handle. No issues at all.

Good set of lopping shears
While not the cheapest shears available, these are well priced for what they are. Well built, with excellent blades (which unlike some are easy to clean) they are very effective. Weight is good; quite light but with enough damping in the elliptical tubes not to vibrate excessively. Size is well-judged, and the buffers that prevent the tubes directly impacting on each other work well. The action is nice & mechanical; easy but solid so coupled with the sensible size & mass they are easy to manipulate and seem as happy powering through lighter material as they are heavier branches. Thus far, the finish appears durable and quite scratch-resistant, so with some care they should last well. A good product at a sensible price.
