Antica Formaggeria, Parmigiano Reggiano Wedge, 7 oz

This cheese lasts well in the fridge when wrapped in wax paper, or plastic wrap, and then inserted in freezer baggy. This is the only cheese I buy for Italian dishes because it melts into sauces so well. Giada will tell you!

Love to take this wedge to a grater for the freshest taste every time. The texture and "bite" in the parm-reggio is great. I'd buy it again.

We use parmigiano/reggiano all the time for pasta dishes and soups. This was the first time using this brand, though. We had no complaints at all.

This is not a whole piece directly from a wheel of Parmeggiano. This is reconstituted. They grind up leftover pieces, and mould them into a wedge and glue on a piece of rind. You can absolutely see it, just look closely. You can even separate the rind if you’re careful. It’s still Parmeggiano, but not directly from the wheel, and it has a smooth texture that doesn’t flake when you grate it.

Delicious and I would have loved if it came in a resealable bag.

This parmesan is good for the money. It's an inexpensive alternative to the more expensive cheese. The flavor was pretty good, a bit of tang and acceptable for sprinkling on pasta and pizza.
