The Search is Over -- I Found a Very Nice Pizza Peel!
This pizza peel is a generous size with a handle that is long enough to ensure an easy and painless transfer of bread loaves to a pizza stone in the oven. The front edge has a well-shaped beveled edge. I am very satisfied with the quality of this pizza peel. While it is not intended to be a professional grade peel, it is more than adequate to do the job, and the price was certainly right.

High quality and durable peel! A must have!
We make homemade pizzas and cook them on the grill. This peel is the best! Durable yet light weight and strong enough to hold our nearly 5 pound pizza! Lol. I only use the peel to assemble the pizza and slide it onto the stone on the grill. I wouldn’t trade it for anything! No disappointments whatsoever! I bought one for family as well and they live it too!

WOODEN pizza peel
My rating is based on the fact that the wood is somewhat fragile looking, and it may not hold up very well (it is fairly thin, and good snap or pieces could break off if one was careless. However, that said, the pizza peel, if used as intended, should work well if you take care of it (I seasoned mine with a good quality vegetable oil). Also, I bought mine to remove hot bread from the oven (I make my own bread from scratch and put it on a ceramic (food quality) oven piece. For the purpose I bought it for, it works fine. As I said, my only concern is chance of damaging the wood, mostly through some inadvertent accident. For the money and its intended use, it is fine.

Great value and quality
We dont make alot of pizzas of flat breads.... but when we do.... with our pizza stone... this works perfect. Great value and great quality.

Needed Some Work
The wood was rough with splinters. It's overall a decent, basic peel after sanding and applying some cutting board oil.

I had a metal pizza peel previously and the dough always stuck to it. I bought this and it is much better. Lighter and easier to use and the dough is easier to maneuver and slide onto stone.

Bent after one use
Pizze sled off the peel very well, but after one use it develop a bent.

A beautifully crafted product...
The illustration for this item is different from the one I ordered, which came through CulinaryDepot.com. (My order history took me to this link.) The photos, however, show the correct product, whose dimensions are correctly described. You can't tell from the photo how beautifully tapered the "business end" is. It's so pretty, I had to put it on my cabinet for permanent display. Worked beautifully for my first pizza transfer to a baking stone this evening.

Good size
This peel has a good size base and handle. Easiest to assemble your pizza directly on the peel then place in your oven. Flour generously for best use!
