Second esee knife
this is my second esee knife! they are pretty much indestructible! I have really abused this knife and it has stayed razor sharp the whole time, fits perfect in my hand (I have a fairly big hand) Love the color better than my other knife. A good knife all around, Thanks

Esse what more can you say
Great bushcraft/Urban survival knifeThe blade length is only 4 1/2 inches but it's 3 /16 inches thick.A lot of larger knives(esse 6) are the same thickness. Its a compact full tang indestructible beast that can baton through knotted wood. Not meant to be a chopper,it's size limits that. But you could if needed. You could dig Dakota holes with this or bust your way through sheetrock walls.Alot of knife aficionado guys use this blade. Its size would be perfect for ladies or a teenager wanting a robust fixed blade.Made in the USA You can't go wrong with ESSE or the model 4.

Wow.
Shocked at the quality. Came razor sharp with an even grind and symmetrical apex on the edge, which I’ve had an issue with from other knife companies. Perfect size for an all purpose knife, and I don’t know why but I love the textured finish on the blade. Handle is not quite coyote brown, it’s a little bit lighter color than I was hoping. But I don’t care, the knife is so good it could be pink and I’d still like it.

GREAT KNIFE FOR BUSH CRAFT
You can't go wrong with the 4" knife. While is it a bit small for some wilderness crafts, it is just the thing for work around the camp. It is a compact, heavy duty and durable knife which seems to hold a very sharp edge. The handle also has enough texture for good grip. I would suggest adding a lanyard to put your hand into in order to keep you hand from sliding down to the knife edge, since the knife holds a keen blade and can be very sharp. This is a quality knife which is very useful for most camp tasks. I've been looking for a perfect bush craft knife, but to be honest I'm coming to the conclusion that this knife fits that description! I like this knife enough that I will likely buy the 5. All around this is an excellent knife. If you are looking for something to use around camp for most chores go for it. If you are looking for a knife to use with lots of camp building, survival, etc. then probably the 5" would work a bit better. Either way, Esee has made a believer out of me. Excellent knife.

Almost perfect!
Sturdy, strong, and durable. Would prefer more of a palm swell in the grip.

This Is A Lethal Work Of Art -- What's Not To Like?
I can't stop admiring this gorgeous knife. I've owned many different knives over the years (fixed and folders) but this one seems so well made and designed. It feels awesome in my hand and has great ergonomics. Sharp as hell, too.I actually like the black finish. Some purists strip it off. I don't see the point as I like it being non-reflective. I chose the serrated blade, too, as I think it makes it more versatile for multiple cutting tasks. The sheath works great in the rear scout position with two small zip ties attached to my thick leather gun belt. Forget the clip attachment -- it won't sit horizontally and doesn't sit tight on the belt. [Bonus: carrying concealed in the rear scout carry position prevents nervous Karens from freaking out.]

Will never not own one of these knives. A+
Excellent knife for camping and bush craft. Sadly, the knife does rust quite easily, but if you keep up on maintenance, it's not too much of an issue. For the price, there are only a handful of options that compare, and few have the reputation that ESEE knives have. In other words, it's probably the very best for the price. The black and grey version looks awesome. And after long term handling, the handle scale gets dyed black as well and makes it look even better. I have owned three of these, myself and it literally took being batoned into a rock to break the first one. It can handle heavy use and abuse and does it's job quite well. All in all, no complaints. Love this knife.
