They are ok
If you like your bass then these are for you. Incredible bass cannons especially with foam tips. Extremely recessed mid-range though which hurts it's overall performance. Incredible build quality and soundstage though. Fit and seal are a hit or miss though. They hurt my ears pretty bad after about 45 minutes to an hour..

Basshead Option IEM
Build is quite nice, and have that steam punk effect.<<<<Update after 6 months>>>>Just a quick mention for a super bassy iem, "RevoNext NEX202" A heavy deep bass yet there is such control at this amount is amazing, letting in detail with a slice of clarity with a nice treble for some air & shimmer, giving it a nice stage, where vocals are right in the middle. A very colorful fun set, just thought I would mention this one, I still enjoy it. (Paired to XDUOO TA-10)

Great Live Monitor Headphones
I’ve used many in ear headphones to play in numerous bands. These are great live monitor headphones.

In ear monitors or just earbuds...
I've had several sets of IEM's for playing live gigs and I find them comfortable, especially the set which was molded specifically to my ears. I notice that companies making ear buds were starting to copy the style of real IEM's... and now they are calling their products IEM's. Fine, I'll bite...The dual drivers on these are likely what makes the difference, because the mids and highs don't suffer for the mid-bass like in a typical ear bud setup. There are a few songs which destroy little ear buds sound-wise and these actually did a reasonable job of hanging in there. Just when I thought I was pretty impressed, a particular song choice would result in a muddy midrange and it just got all sloppy. Mind you, they're still better than any others I've tried except the long discontinued Marshall ones... but those had no bottom end like these do.Using my FiiO E17 headphone amp, I was able to tweak the sound a little but more importantly- adequate power. With the FiiO, all headphones sound better but these RevoNext units woke up and delivered pretty impressive quality. I'll never mistake them for my B&O or even my Technics HD headphones but those really aren't portable. These NEX202's simply destroyed all other buds I've tried. Perfect? No, good? Yes.Now- on to the bad stuff. They are ridiculously uncomfortable for me. Sure, I have small ear canals I suppose but to retain these requires jamming them down one's ear canals- and the pressure of these crammed mercilessly in my ears is just painful. It still hurts now and I tested these a couple hours ago. Why more companies don't use better retention techniques than "cram it down the hole and hope it sticks" is beyond me. Some companies figured it out and use the shape of the ear to hold speaker housings in place. My REAL IEM's do that. Real IEM's are noise blocking as well- not noise cancelling (well, some are) but noise BLOCKING as in physically blocking outside noise. These don't. Real IEM's are made to sound accurate, but consumer earphones are not- they're made to accentuate bass in most cases. There's no comparison to actual IEM's, but just understand that's all marketing jargon... trying to appear "pro" level or something.I'll go 4 stars because these really DO sound surprisingly good, especially with an amp pushing them instead of just a phone AND they're cheap! They don't do everything spectacularly, but I'm still relatively impressed. They fall down on their weight and the supposition that cramming them painfully down your ear canals is the best idea they could come up with. If I can find some smaller tips to install, I might be able to use these- and I would.

Truly incredible sound and functionality at this price point
I try not to base my reviews on price but in this case it's not fair to judge these against 600 dollar in ear monitors. These are IEMs and are designed to wrap around your ear. The twisted cable easily tucks behind your head and connects to your IEM pack if you are using these that way. They have a clean look and don't stick out from your ears very much. The cables are even detachable so you can use custom cables if you want or replace these if your dog/cat chews on them or if they are damaged over time. So in that respect, these are great IEMs for the price. But how do they sound?Sound quality surprised me. It has crisp, clean high end while providing nice deep bass and there is almost no distortion until you turn it up way too loud and I'd consider the overall sound quality way above average for earbuds/IEMs in the under 100 dollar price range. One of the reasons for the good sound quality is the foam pieces you get along with the standard rubber ones. The rubber ones are good for casual listening, and do a good job of sealing your ear and giving good sound quality and good comfort. The foam pieces aren't as comfortable but they don't hurt and are excellent for live performance where you really want to block out as much ambient sound as possible so you can focus on your singing, instrument, etc. I tried both the foam and rubber and I'm using the rubber pieces for casual listening because it's much more comfortable for long listening sessions. For live performance, I recommend the foam, but after about an hour you will want to take them out, or at least I did. Maybe they are just a bit big for my ears, I'm not sure but the sound has been great with them.As far as I can tell, the cases for these earbuds are all metal. They seem incredibly durable and although they don't come with a travel case, I do recommend putting them in something to protect them when not in use. The packaging for these is very professional and has a nice presentation. At the end of the day, I mainly care about comfort and sound quality and I'm very happy with both those things. I've used these with my phone using an adapter, my PC for gaming, and with a Sennheiser G3 IEM pack for live audio monitoring. They sound great for all these things and have a nice even frequency response which is great because a lot of these "bass boosted" earbuds just sound muddy and the bass is plenty loud on these. For the price, these are really impressive and definitely worth considering if you are looking for nice sounding, low cost IEMs.

Very good value
Was looking for an open back IEM to be used on tread mill (can not wear my open back headphone while exercising). After receiving it, found out it is semi-open, or at least not open as open back headphone. However, I like the sound it plays, and solidly packed in metal, for $50, no need to return. It has clear high and good base, even though you can tell it is colored, but in an enjoyable way. Yeap, still hoping I can find fully open IEM, with 2pin cable so I can use my wireless cable.
