Great Cymbal Case
Works great with some modifications. This is a good cymbal case from SKB. It holds up to a 22 inch cymbal. Depending on how you stack them, for me it holds 7 cymbals by switching the felts that came with it, with a 70mm cympad. I cut the cympad in half and it allowed me more room for extra space and covers the bottom metal post. The felt that comes with it barely covers the post, and it's felt. By cutting the 70mm cympad in half you have two pieces half the size of the 2 Felts with better protection in my opinion. For the tube, I just cut a slightly longer tube post so I can get extra cymbals, as opposed to the short one that came with it. I just needed a little bit more room in this case, so I was able to do it for what i needed. The case comes with 4 cymbal spacers, If you need extra spacers you can purchase them on their website. The handle makes it easy to carry and the cymbals feel secure and safe when transporting. I have recommended SKB cases too many drummers and will continue to do so. It's still a five-star item in my eyes just because I did a couple things different to it doesn't mean the product needed it.

I have 3 of these (now)
Ordered the previous two from a very large instrument dealer, ordered this one here due to a good price. As in the title, I have 3 of these. Up until recently, I've gigged very regularly, and use two of them with my gig-kit. In one, I have a 22" Paiste 2002 Heavy Ride, 18", 19", and 20" Paiste 2002 Power Crashes. The other holds my Paiste 2002 China, and my 14" Paiste 2002 Heavy Hats. The whole reason I use two is that the China has a deep squared-off bell which eats up a lot of space in these. My previous cymbals, where the China had a short bell, I could fit the whole pack in one.Case and point, the 3rd is for my home kit that I've packed away...and it contains a Paiste Signature set - 22" Full Ride, 16/17/18 Full Crashes, 14" SoundEdge Hats, and a 18" China. These only come with 4 pads, and the pads are fairly thick, but smaller....I bought some felt material, and cut them in 22" circles and poked a hole in the center. This allows a bit denser packing and protects the cymbals edge-to-edge...As I mentioned, I've gigged regularly - and they've held up very well for over 4 years, and don't show any signs of needing replacement. They are not water-tight...or something I'd put on a plane....but for bouncing between gigs, they do well.

The best cymbal case that I've found.
As a guy who's played for 50 years now, I've put my cymbals in a lot of different cases and bags. I can't think of a case that I've liked as much as this SKB! Every cymbal is safe (the name "vault" ought to tell you something) and fully protected. The neoprene pads to separate individual cymbals are great as well. The only drawback is that you can't stuff this thing with as many cymbals as you'd probably like. I like to change my cymbal array depending on the gig, so I'm planning to put my Zildjian "A's" in one case and buy another for my "K's." I realize that's not an issue with most gigging drummers, but after 50 years, I've probably accumulated a few more choices than I need.

Mad Expensive But Durable
This thing does as its meant to do, and it's crazy durable. For the price it could hold more cymbals and offer more smaller storage pockets or compartments. Either way if you gig a lot and do use these, good luck.

SKB Cymbal Vault is EXACTLY THAT!!!
Another solid product from SKB. Built in molded handle was KEY for me since my old case popped it's handle rivets. Well constructed solid center spline to place your cymbals in without them shifting or rattling around. I wished it held a few more cymbals... I currently carry a 20", 2X18", 16", 14"HiHats, and a 12" splash. There may be more room for another standard cymbal or two but, NO ROOM for my 18"China Type because of the large extended bell. This is a cymbal vault as advertised and it LOCKS DOWN all your items inside the case. Still a Great product.

Protect your investment!
I made the mistake of trusting my expensive cymbals to the Zildjian soft cymbal bag that came with the set...well the cymbals were able to rub against each other causing lots of scuff marks and then one day when moving other equipment around I accidently stepped on the bag and you guessed it, I cracked a cymbal. I have over $1000 in cymbals and have learned my lesson the hard way, do yourself a favor and purchase the SKB AAT cymbal vault to protect your investment, I did and I love it. I comes with several pads to place between your cymbals so they will not rub and then you can screw them down to keep them secure. The case is heavy duty and works fantastic.

Good product for gigs
Pretty good product. Be careful when shipping full of cymbals. It is sturdy but not %100 effective

Excellent protection for cymbals
Excellent protection for cymbals. This case is extremely strong and provides the best protection for cymbals I have found. With a soft bag, no matter how careful you are the edges of your expensive cymbals will become nicked on way or another. The protective dividers (4) that come with this are great for preventing the cymbals from rotating against each other while in transit. The case is a little on the large size and takes up more room than a soft bag, but it is worth losing a little space over.

Great case that will last for years
These cases are fantastic! This is the second one I have bought based on how durable my first one has been which I have had for over 15 years! Great construction and seriously built to last. Will hold 1 Ride, 2 Crashes and top/bottom hi hats.
