If you're looking for a complete basic 101 understanding of search warrants it meets the objective. I would recommend it for any new PO being introduced to undercover work.

Great 2nd Edition
As a lawyer that works on the defense side; I found Mr. Medina's book informative. He provides his readers a good understanding officer's rules and responsibilities. After reading Mr. Medina's book I have clearer and better understanding of the "state perspective." This understanding helps me better serve my clients. His writing is descriptive and clear. His book is a great read. This books is continuing legal education class minus the boredom.

Crystal clear writing style
I agree with other reviewer that the second edition is a big improvement over the first. I do so for different reasons. I liked the first edition because it delivered on its promise to be a basic (not exhaustive or academic) approach to search and seizure issues. That is, it was a good book for beginners. I like the second edition because (like other people have written) it expands and adds practical samples, but mostly I like it for the same reason I liked his first book- he writes with crystal clarity.

Still good for people who are not lawyers & law professionals
I agree with the other reviewers that this edition improves upon the first one. I like this one because the author still seems to care about writing so that the educated layperson who does not practice law can understand these concepts.
