Essential Jeet Kune Do

Pros:1) Good resource for material covered at the JKD Wednesday Night Group.2) You will find some material in this book that you won't find taught or emphasized at most other JKD schools.3) If you are a JKD practitioner, collector or historian you will definitely want to have this book in your library.4) Sifu Tim Tackett has been a prolific author and seminar teacher of Jeet Kune Do for many decades who is very good at sharing his valuable knowledge and experience. According to Sifu Tackett, this will be his last book on Jeet Kune Do, it gives this book added value to the JKD community.Con:1) Not really a con, but I think this book should have been available in hardbound. The paper back books do not hold up over time.

Tim Tackett, einer der zweiten JKD-Lehrer Generation hier in einem weiteren Buch über seine Sichtweise des JKD.Viele Fotos, relativ wenig Text aber ein dickes Buch, für das Techniktraining gut geeignet. Für JKDler sowieso und für die Sammler allemal.

Il libro di Sifi Tim Tackett è la summa dell'indagine durata una vita nell'arte del Jeet Kune Do. Gli aspetti essenziali dell'arte sono insegnati con grande perizia e profondità di dettagli anche attraverso numerose foto. Come scrive Sifu Tackett l'obbiettivo del libro non è creare dei cloni di Bruce Lee, ma insegnare come esprimersi al meglio sulla base delle proprie esperienze e caratteristiche fisiche. Prioritario per Sifu Tackett è concentrare l'allenamento in primis sulle tecniche essenziali (in particolare cita 14 tecniche/principi). Del libro avevo acquistato attraverso il venditore GIUSEPPE GENOVESE(corso tukory 282/284MULTISERVICESpalermo, PA, 90134Telefono: 3931010435) la versione in lingua inglese stampata in Italia che sconsiglio, in quanto le foto erano tutte rigate, la copertina era rovinata e le pagine si staccavano. Ho ricomprato la versione stampata in Usa, su consiglio dello stesso Sifu Tackett e tali difetti non sono presenti. In accordo con GIUSEPPE GENOVESE ho rispedito la copia rovinata, seguendo la procedura con spese a mio carico, ma non ho ottenuto il rimborso. Ho potuto constatare anche da altri feedback che MULTISERVICES di GIUSEPPE GENOVESE è evidentemente un truffatore da evitare. 5 stelle quindi al fantastico libro, ma con il consiglio di acquistarlo in Usa ed evitare il seller truffaldino

Great book fantastic book, written by "the most knowledgeable JKD instructor" as quoted by Dan Inosanto. Goes in to depth on Jkd and how to train and apply. A must for any JKD practitioner

Tackett is a legend in the world of JKD, as a a professional teacher no one breaks down JKd like Sifu Tackett.
