Very helpful bood - wish it addressed the SB5000 and newer cameras.
This is a very useful book for one learning how to best approach flash photography. There are many online classes, but one can't reference them when in the field. This is a great source. I just wish it addressed Nikon's newest flash, the SB5000. It is really a much different animal, particularly when paired with a D850 or a Z6 or Z7. The book needs an update, but is a good basic reference.

Well organized and very informative book!
I've been trying to improve on my flash photography skills for some time but was having trouble getting clear information on how my two Nikon speed lights worked with my camera. This book is excellent. It is clearly written and organized so that I was able to read the portions that pertained to my camera and speed light (Nikon D750 and SB800 and SB28) and learn what works and how it works in a clear way. It works great as a reference to return to or as a read through. I also found it helpful as I can look at the other speed lights Nikon offers and clearly see what they do and don't do in case I want to add to my kit.

Solid Information
I purchased this guide so I could learn all about an SB-700 I purchased for use with a Nikon D750. I have been away from SLR camera shooting for over a decade and am like a newbie coming back to it. This e-book has some very good information with clear and easy to understand instructions on all the features and uses of the flash. A good read for beginners and has some good tips for more advanced shooters, but it is not geared for the those that already have a grasp of the uses of mounted and remote flash photography.

Woth the price
I'm in the middle of this book, but so far I am extremely pleased with the content. I have the second edition in printed and Kindle format. Decided to get the lates version because I wanted fore info on the SB-500. Third edition didn't just add a chapter for the 500; it is fully integrated into the book. I highly recommend.

Good book!
The author starts confusing you since the first page but will improve in the following pages.Page 6 - Table 1.2: CLS Compatible Cameras: The Nikon D 610 does not appears as a camera compatible with CLS.Page 13-17 Quick Start: The sb-700 is not on the quick start guide tables. My flash is not there! :-)

Really Glad I Got this Book!
Excellent. Covers Background, features a Quick Start Guide, Flash Theory and then goes into the specifics of the various Nikon Speedlights. Plenty of pictures showing the various effects. (Unfortunaterly I had a lot of misperceptions about flash photography prior to reading this.) The Capability of the Nikon Creative Lighting System is incredible, but the photographer must understand it to harness it for his or her benefit.
