Dorman594-508 Engine Harmonic Balancer Compatible with Select Hyundai/Kia Models

This is a harmonic damper or balancer for a Kia Rondo.I used it to replace the original damper on 11-year-old car. Original damper had a chip broken off the edge (from brute force removal) and had a crack in the rubber damper between the two metal parts, all of this means that which I didn't want to deal with it later, so might as well replace it now while car still works.Hint: To remove original, don't use any "pulling" devices, no screwdrivers, no prybars. At first, it felt like the damper had a vacuum behind it when I tried removing it. When I'd pull it out a quarter inch or so, it would suck itself back in! What the heck, right? Well, the damper is attached to the sprocket assembly behind it by a visible roll pin.To remove just alternate between tapping the small rolled pin gently with a pin punch and manually rocking and working the pulley off the crankshaft.My transplant of this, the water pump and timing belt and various other parts was ultimately successful!I haven't been generally impressed by some of the cheap (and overpriced) Dorman aftermarket parts, but this one is solid and I hope provides long life!
