Unless you are trained in soldering don’t even try this.
It is crazy to get this apart. I finally got all of it apart to find out the battery is soldered. So I would need soldering iron to remove and put in the new one. Shouldn’t even sell a new battery. I guess I need to buy a new razor. I understand the need to keep the battery dry but then they should just say almost impossible to replace it when no longer chargeable. After all of this I went online and read how difficult it is to put this back together with all the parts lined up.

Works Great
I had my old battery for 18 years. The secret is to not have it plugged in charging unless it needs it. This new battery is fine. The tool they sent with it did not work with my trimmer, but it was made with a Phillips type screw so no issues.You will have to desolder and solder the new one in. I had a little problem getting the battery and electronics back into the handle as the ribbon cable was not going in well. After a few attempts it got it to go.

It worked!!
I'm not an engineer, but one of my trimmers stopped working. With assistance, I took it apart and realized the battery was shot. I'd have to solder a new one in. I took a guess at what battery I needed and purchased this. It arrived quick, came as described, and best of all, worked! replacement battery for Norelco razor
I wanted to keep this razor/trimmer as its rechargeable cord was the same as my razor I use in traveling.I had to take the whole works to a repair shop for installation, however, as it needed to be reworked to match the terminals in the razor - needed to be soldered in. Battery itself functions well.

Right voltage and size.
This battery was right size and voltage for my shaver and the leads coming from the ends were wires and not flat foil making it easier to install in the circuit board.
