Color:Limited Edition 24-6337-8800 245 No-Clean Flux Solder will create visually acceptable assemblies without the need and expense of cleaning. Solderability and efficiency are comparable to that of mildly activated rosin flux (RMA). Residues are non-corrosive, non-conductive and do not require removal in most applications.

Never use lead-free solder again!
If you're like me, you might think you're a noob at soldering. Again and again, I lift pads, make dull joints, and just overall have a crappy, frustrating time doing soldering jobs. Then I took a long hard look at the tools I was using... my iron was fine, a Hakko FX-888D. Probably the best in the business, for a casual home solderer. Next is the solder itself... Lead-free rosin core. Hmmm, could this be the problem? After getting this 63-37 leaded solder, I can most definitively say: yes, lead-free IS the problem. Love the lead. Live the lead. After finishing up a soldering job for the balance plug of a 2S Lipo (FPV quads, if anyone was interested), I looked at the joint and I was wowed at such a good job I did. Or rather, such a good job the leaded solder did. Shiny, flawless, just perfect. Live the lead! Lose the lead-free!

Good stuff, you should give it a try.
Melt fast and flows nicely, I have been wondering why some of my solder flow nicely and some don't, before I place my order for my re-supply, I looked at the spools and found out I have 60/40 and 63/37 solders, the 63/37 are the one the flow nicely. This is a little more expensive but worth the money to eliminate some soldering problems.

VERY DUMB PACKAGING
This is great solder, one of my favorites. But Kester really blew it on the packaging. Rather than a full box, the spool is in a topless cardboard hexagon. There is strapping tape over the top, holding the spool in. Unfortunately, the tape is also stuck onto the only label on the spool—so you can't open it without ruining the label. I'm not sure what whoever designed this was thinking...

Works great!
I purchased this soldering wire on the recommendation of many an RC enthusiast. I initially had some difficulty making this solder “stick” to PCB pads (@350C), but after cleaning and recoating my soldering tip, thereby removing my old soldering alloy and replacing it with the new, it was smooth sailing. The solder flows easily and sets quickly once the tip is removed. It also results in a lot less flux residue than what I am use to. Minimal cleanup, if any. Highly recommended.Thank you for shipping to South Africa for me. Could not find Kester at all, locally.

Clean flowing solder.
This is some really clean flowing solder. I've been doing microminiature electronics work for several years and have a few schools under my belt to prove it, but this solder has to be the cleanest flowing solder I have ever had the pleasure of using. It helps to make quick work of solder joints so you should not have to spend too much time applying heat to high traffic areas. I believe this solder would definitely lessen your chances of measling the circuit board or damaging any non-metallic shielding.

Cleans up easy with a nice shiny finish
So much better than other rosin-core solder that I've used. The rosin has a tendency to char fairly quickly (even with a temperature controlled tip like a Metcal), but it cleans up so fast with just a little bit of isopropanol. Barely any effort and you're done, unlike some heavier rosins that force you to scrub. I wouldn't recommend it for fine parts, because it really needs a good temperature match to flow well. But, for thru-hole parts like pots, jacks and headers, this is my favorite.

Clumping, bridging, what I got was terrible went back to #44
This stuff was so difficult to use, I don't think mine had any flux in there. Would only clump up trying to use it.

It melts for your wires
I've been buying solder from Home Depot for years. Always worked great, never had a problem. Then, it started not to work as it should. No matter how much I cleaned the tips. I couldn't tin them. It just bubbled on the tip and didn't coat. Even on new tips. Did the same to the wires.Looked for months for a better solder. Found kester among others. Felted out of the group I was looking at that kester would be the one. Order this bundle and was surprise that it was a pound and the price was cheap compare to the amount I was getting from Home Depot. It's also thinner as well. Like the solder that came with the solder gun.Took my solder and gun. Heat the gun up and try to tin it. And it took! Next, took wires and tested it. Went on good and clean and it holds excellent. Haven't had a problem with a solder joint yet. I don't expect to. I don't think it take a lot of heat to melt it. I keep my gun on a low range, but I believe even set there it is a bit too hot. Need to take a temp reading of it to find out.You really don't have to clean the solder after and no need of using Flux (unless you want too). If you're looking for a replacement. I recommend trying this one!
