I wished I knew about this product earlier
I've been looking for such a product for a very long time. I didn't know it existed, I've started looking for various words on google and in the end lead me to this product. I wished I knew about it earlier. I like the design of it, is retro/vintage but very recent features wise - uptodate digitally. I'm using WebRadio, though the DAB+ works as well, I get higher sound quality over the internet. I love the small details such as weather stand-by details, alarms, sleep mode features. All in the details. I wasn't expecting the sound to be that crisp, and clear for such a small device, good job on that too. All but pluses so far. May it last long. If it seems you loose the station or it displays no signal, enlarge your antena at max and move to a spot where you can get to the all the detected/scan DAB stations, favourite the one you want and then you can take it back where you want to have it. It all depends on your DAB signal reception. With internet radio, you need not to worry about it.

Functionally unusable
I've had this radio for nearly two years and really struggled with it. The sound quality is good but it's almost unusable. Even in FM mode changing the volume can take a few seconds. But in DAB mode the function lag is so bad that I can only put it on one channel and leave it there. If I want to change channel it invariably loses everything and tries to retune itself so its just not worth the effort. I realise this could be a poor DAB signal but in tests with other much cheaper DAB radios I found them much more responsive..I think its either faulty or a really cheap chipset. It's the FM thing that makes me think its not a fault. As I say, even in FM mode it's so laggy and hissy that I think its just reeks of cheap electronics.I'd look for an alternative and don't take the risk on this.

Value for money but with some issues
Does the job as a good value home office internet radio and Bluetooth speaker but suffers from quirks that make me wish I'd stumped up more cash for another Pure radio instead. This radio has decent sound output of adequate quality and can fill a space. It has a great range of connectivity options and Spotify Connect plus internet radio were the main selling points to me though it can also connect using Bluetooth which I've found more reliable than Spotify Connect. FM radio and DAB are also present though I find reception in DAB poor compared to a Pure radio (DAB only) I previously used in the same location. The control layout is clunky and unintuitive but you get used to it quickly enough. What let's it down to me is that it regularly seems to hang up, losing internet connection, resetting time to midnight and requiring a power off to reset it. This renders it unreliable if you want to use the alarm function. It very occasionally loses wireless details or saved favourite stations completely in this, requiring things like wireless keys to be laboriously re-entered. I've never found WPS pairing to work with it.For the money still a bargain compared to the competition but be aware of its flaws.

Band II and DAB Reception Poor At Home ? Try Internet Radio Instead!
As the Band II and DAB radio service is not reliable using the typical telescopic indoor antennas fitted to portable receivers here in our Bournemouth home (ground floor flat) , I purchased my first Pembroke II for use in my study/Bedroom to listen via the Internet, rather than using my iPad as a receiver, using one of the many Apps available. The Pembroke was easy to set up once I had entered my wi-fi password and I soon had it working with solid reception, with none of the ‘fuffing and hissing’ we get from the Band II f.m. Service (from the Rowridge transmitter on the Isle of Wight) as the incoming signals are reflected/or partially absorbed by the family walking by. Sound reproduction is very reasonable although I wish a ‘bit more top’ to compensate for my 73 year old hearing! However, I think the power lead could have been longer (it’s not very generous). Out in my Amateur Radio workshop (shack) where Band II and Band III (used for DAB transmissions) signals are better...the receiver works very well indeed. I was so impressed with the Internet radio reception I’ve just purchased another Pembroke for a Christmas gift for my wife Carol so she can also get ‘fuffing and hiss’ free reception on BBC Radio 4 in our sitting room, etc. Rob Mannion (former Editor of Practical Wireless magazine).

A must for those who loves RADIO
I'm Swedish and live in the UK. I have had my radio for about 2 months now and really enjoy every minute of it. I have it in the garden, in the kitchen, in the garage and just enjoy it. Easy to use, perfect sound quality and very good reception.I wished it had a kind of handle or something to make the transport and moving easier. I'm scared all the time to drop it when I lift it to move it somewhere else.I strongly recommend this radio for people who loves RADIO and people who wants to have radio stations from other countries.

Ponderous and delayed inputs and DAB won't connnect
DAB always just says connecting, no info, despite my Pure DAB managing it.Ponderous to change menus, press the button and it takes time for a response, normally you'd expect to press a button and get an immediate response, nope, you have to press, wait, press again and then you've gone beyond what you wanted.Never had this delayed response to input on any device. Sooo tedious, would not recommend any Majority products. Cheap and crappy, serves me right for taking a chance with a lesser known brand

Excellent sound quality
Immediate replacement under the warranty after it developed a fault with wifi connection. It's such good quality I had no doubts about replacing it for another which hopefully will have a longer reliability.
