A Place for Pluto

love this book.
My sons’s Montessori school still counts Pluto as a planet (which I love). I was looking for a book to help explain why Pluto isn’t always counted as a planet. This is a great book explaining Pluto’s new classification as a dwarf planet as well as about belonging, finding your people, and loving differences in your friends.

This book is a home run!
New favorite read in our household! The illustrations are charming enough to frame and put on the wall. The storyline combined with nonfiction tidbits make great conversation starters that had one of my kids talking about scienfitic classifications and the other talking about feelings of being left out.

Educational AND fun!
This is my daughter’s favorite book, hands down! Because of this book, she not only knows the names of all of the planets (she knew those before we got this book), but she also knows all the names of the dwarf planets. (Hint: Makemake is pronounced mawkee-mawkee.) This book is fun AND educational at the same time! Wonderful book! HIGHLY recommend!

Very cleverly written!
This is a very cleverly written book. There are a lot of funny moments in both the print and illustrations. I especially like that this gets its point across (both the main idea and theme) without being condescending to its young readers. A great debut--can't wait to see more from Stef Wade!

Poor Pluto! We still love you!
Great book for kids. Hopefully next year Pluto gets welcomed back into our solar system :) then this book will be a novelty item reminding us of a time when even our smartest scientists in the world had a brain fart together, lol!

Great story, tiny book
It’s a great book, I was just disappointed that it’s a toddler sized board book. I expected a traditional sized book like I have seen in the stores. It’s the cardboard young children’s size. I won’t be able to read it to my middle schoolers and will have to return it.

Informative and cute
This might be my 5 year old's favorite book. He is obsessed with planets, but this one makes it more personable and is filled with a lot of facts as well. The goofiness makes it a fun read for parents and kids during bedtime.

Cute Little Book
I got this for my grand daughter (2 yrs old) and she really enjoys it. Pictures are pretty good and overall the science is not bad. I highly recommend.

Great book for kids who love planets
My nearly 5 year old son loves planets and especially dwarf planets. This book makes the facts about dwarf planets into a great story. I would highly recommend as one of the more engaging books for younger kids about planets/dwarf planets.
