Great little pump!
The media could not be loaded. Update July 22, 2017: Pump is in its 2nd season now, still going strong. Has even run dry a couple times and survived, and also survived a raccoon pulling on its cord. We bought a second one for backup in case this one dies - but so far so good!July 12, 2016: Bought this pump to use in a homemade birdbath/fountain. We wanted the pump to be separate from the basin, for three reasons: (1) to help keep the pump clean; (2) to avoid worrying about the water level; and (3) to ensure it wouldn't bother the birds. This pump works perfectly for those needs. By attaching clear vinyl (5/16" inside diameter) tubing onto the pump's discharge outlet (and attaching the "fountain" parts to the other end of that), we were able to separate the pump from the bath basin.I highly recommend this pump! Things I love about it:1. There is a 10-foot cord from the pump to the solar panel, so we can have the birdbath in the shade but the panel in the sun.2. The solar panel is good-sized (about 5"x5.5").It has two short legs so you can angle it toward the sky without laying it down flat. We have ours clipped to the side of a plant stand. It faces east in the morning and we turn it to the west in the afternoon, and it runs all day. (Granted, we're in sunny CA.)3. The pump is surprisingly powerful. The tubing we added travels up about 20", but it still puts out a good fountain effect. (Note: to get the fountainhead pieces inside the 5/16" tube, I had to dip the tubing in boiling water to soften it, then force "Part A" in. It wasn't easy. I used the cap-end of a skinny marker for extra leverage.)Our birds were intrigued but seemed intimated by the fountain. What finally worked best was taking the fountainhead off (we left Part A inside the tubing end) and just hiding the tube in a pile of small stones. So it looks and works more like a bubbler. They love it! Goldfinches, sparrows, mockingbirds and even hummingbirds have been visiting it.It's 7pm now and I'm on the patio writing this, about 20 feet from the birdbath. The pump has stopped running because the sun is too low, but two mockingbirds just landed on the bath to get a drink. What a great way to end a summer day!

Practical Review
Why I bought this: I have a standard ceramic birdbath that is about 4 feet tall with the 'bowl' on top about 2 feet in diameter whose water depth when full is about 4 inches. I wanted something inexpensive to keep the water moving and have it make that 'running water' sound that I'm told, attracts birds. What I like: - I don't have to pay for electricity to run it. - It's a fairly powerful pump when in full sun. It will spray the water about 1 - 1 1/2 feet into the air no matter which of the included interchangeable heads you use. - The pump has 3 suckers on the bottom to help keep it on the bottom of the bowl. My bird bath is ceramic so the suckers do work but if you have a concrete bird bath or some other material the very small plastic suckers won't be of any use. What I don't like: - The instructions aren't clear on what order the nozzle is to be put together. It's only 3, 4 counting the interchangeable nozzle heads, small tubes you just push together. So it's easy to figure it out but still would of been nice not to have to figure it out and have the instructions tell you what order the tubes slide onto each other. - The pump doesn't work unless it's in full sun. - The pump actually shoots the water too high into the air for my application. Because the water goes so high in the air it ends up pumping the water out of the bird bath. So I took off the top interchangeable head so the water isn't forced into the smaller holes and now the water gently comes out of the tube acting more like a water wiggler. Which is perfect for what I wanted this product for (to keep the water moving and to make the running water sound). - This isn't the fault of the product but it looks kind of strange in my brightly colored ceramic bird bath. Since the bowl to the bath isn't very deep, you can see the pump and the tube sticks out of the water fairly far and is not the most attractive in appearance. So I went to Lowes and picked up a pack of foam water Lilly's, like this OnePlus Floating Pond Decor Water Lily / Lotus Foam Flower, Small (Set of 4) and made a hole in the center of one. Then very carefully stretched out of the foam to fit over the tube sticking out of the water, hiding the submersed pump and much of the tube sticking out.Bottom Line: I would recommend this product as long as you were OK with the pump not holding a charge, only running the pump when in full sunlight. It does the job the seller says it will do. I bought this product on May 6th, it's May 20th as of the writing of this review and I've had zero issues with the product.

Runs excellent in sunlight, no pumping in darkness
This solar power pump works really well! This is best used in a water feature and probably not to power an actual small pond that has fish, and I'll tell you why.First of all this is a solar power pump...meaning it will only run as long as it is getting direct sunlight. After the sun goes down the pump stops, on gloomy days it may not be enough to power the pump. So if you have fish this may not be in your best interest. I know fish can come to the surface to get air and in our Huge pond we have been without power for an extended period of time, but ideally this is not the environment you want for fish. The solar panel is quite large and does take a charge fairly quickly. I charged mine a few hours in the sun and used it later that afternoon. The pump is small, and only 1 speed, not adjustable. With just the pump itself running on the solar power it functions mainly as a bubbler and bubbles about 1 inch or so above the outlet. When you add the attachments for the fountain pieces then the pump powers the water much higher. This pump would be great for a table top feature or a flowerpot size fountain, or birdbath.Very long cord connection that unscrews if needed. Easy to bury the cord as well.I have this powering a cascading flower pot fountain with no issues. This was meant to use an electric pump that came with it and I removed that pump and used this pump instead due to a/c power plug restraints.I received this item complimentary for testing purposes. My opinions are my own and I was not compensated in any way for my thoughts.

Works great.
I like that the cord to the solar panel is long enough that it doesn't have to be right next to the bubbler I made. Not a strong pump, but good enough for a small fountain/bubbler.

Pompe solaire
Je l'a voyait en peu plus grande mais content quand même, pas trop bruyante juste se qui me fallait et énergie gratuite

Fit for purpose.
Purchased 2 to create two small fountains on the decking of our caravan. They fitted the purpose perfectly. I used two 20 inch flower pots and they were easy to fit and work fine in the sunshine, as described.

Works well
Note that there is no battery so it will not work after the sun goes down

Waste of money
Bought to go in my small pot pond, absolutely waste of money. It took ages to manage to get the pump to stay upright, it only worked when the sun was directly on the solar panel and the fountain was so weak that if I dribbled it would of been of gone further
