Why did you pick this product vs others?:I recently tried the Rain-X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit and I was blown away by how easy and effective it was at fixing the chips on my windshield. The whole process was quick and hassle-free, saving me time and money from going to a professional repair shop. The kit comes with clear instructions that are simple to follow, making it perfect for DIY enthusiasts like myself. After using it, the chips on my windshield were almost invisible, greatly improving visibility while driving. I love how it saved me from having to replace the entire windshield, and I highly recommend this kit to anyone dealing with similar issues. The only downside is that it may not work as effectively on larger cracks, but for small chips, it works like a charm!

Fair price, easy application, and very good results.
easy setup and use, instructions are simple. I had a 1.5 inch chip that spider-webbed and hoped this would help. I had to reposition the plunger 2x and use an extra drop to level out the impact area. The epoxy seeped in, filled most all crack areas and dried nearly invisible. I didn't expect perfection, and it's 90% better which is substantial. Great product with extra on the shelf just in case I need it again. Definitely give this a shot - it works better than I expected it to.

Excellent kit—works great with clear instructions
I recently bought this and was impressed from the start. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow—step-by-step guidance made the process smooth and stress-free. It worked remarkably well on the small chips I had, sealing and reinforcing them quickly. I followed all the instructions carefully, including the curing process in sunlight, and the resin filled the damage solidly. The kit includes everything you need, and the resin formula seems tough and reliable. It’s a great value—no need to pay for a pro when a DIY solution works this well. Highly recommended if you're dealing with minor windshield issues and want something effective and user-friendly.

Not perfect—but saved me from replacing the whole windshield
I used this kit to repair a small chip on the front windshield of my 2025 Camry. A rock hit it on the highway, and the dealership told me it couldn’t be fixed and suggested a full glass replacement. That felt like a waste for a brand-new car, so I found this tool on Amazon and gave it a try. The result is not perfect, but it definitely helped. The crack is still faintly visible, but it’s sealed and stable. For the price, it’s worth it—especially if you just want to keep using your original windshield.Tip: Fix it as soon as possible before the damage spreads.

Leaky mess!!
I will preface by saying that I have done a lot of maintenance and repairs on my car, and as an artist I have worked with resin casting and coating for years. That said, this was a tough kit to work with.I had two small chips in the center of my windshield I wanted to reinforce so I decided to give this product a try. The first hurdle was getting the applicator base completely centered on these tiny chips - though I will say that once in place those suction cups are not going *anywhere* until you pull the tabs, they're very strong and hold the base in place very well. The largest source of frustration for me lies with the choice in design for the resin bottle. The cap does not lock in any way, it just kind of sits on top and does not give any kind of seal to the bottle, which means it will leak. EVERYWHERE. Not only did this create a mess but this also means it's not good to store for a later use, making it a wasteful one use item. Finally, there is nothing stopping you from over tightening the pressure driver. There's no safety stopper, not even a marking or a diagram in the instructions - it simply says to tighten until it is "almost all the way in", which is vague and subjective. I learned very quickly that what I thought was "almost in" was enough to physically push the resin chamber up off my windshield. I believe that this step prevented my application from being as effective as it could have been. I kept checking from inside and could still see a dark spot indicating bubbles, so I kept adding more and more resin. By the end I had put 6 drops into the chamber and when I removed the applicator base from the glass, I could still physically see this tiny chip was still empty as all the resin started to run down my windshield. Luckily I had the curing strips in hand and could catch it all before it got too far. Ultimately I wound up peeling the curing strip back enough to apply resin directly from the bottle and that seemed to work okay, but the resin never quite filled it all the way (this chip's circumference is barely larger than a needle's eye, it should have been much easier to force the air out and resin in...)All these things combined meant that messes were all too easy to make. I believe myself to be a careful person, yet when I got in my car to park in the sun I had no less than 10 rogue drips scattered across my windshield and my hands still stink of it from repeatedly having to touch the leaky bottle. All in all, it took a full hour to fill two tiny chips. Did it work? More or less (which is why it gets 2 stars). But I will probably pay someone else to do this next time.
