Dogit Deluxe Soft Crate for Pets with Storage Case

I just bought a new Dodge Ram Laramie so I could no longer keep my 100lbs extremely furry and nosey pooch in the luggage area like I did in my SUV, where I didn't care what happened back there. Rosie now has to ride in the backseat area, and she drools quite a bit when in a car until she settles down, so the thought of that drool and her nails all over the new seats, the leather backs of the front seats, the door panels etc made me want to cry. So I very seriously thought of making a custom sizes soft-sided crate but I found this beauty when searching for sample photos. Well low and behold, with my daughter in the rear driver side seat in my crew cab, the Dogit Deluxe XL soft crate fits EXACTLY in the remaining 2/3 of the back seat and is exactly the right width for in between the backseat seat backing and the back of the main center console. It's literally MADE for this truck!! So perfect solution. In terms of quality, the construction is great for a dog that won't try to claw out of the screens, which my dog won't do as long as I don't try to leave her in it and leave the room (she can't be crated and left alone, she will destroy even heavy metal cages). But if you have a dog that will claw at the screens, those will probably tear apart in short order. Also note that in the photo you see the large screen side that unzips as a door. The other side only has a small screen window with a flap that can cover it, but there is only that one door on the end and another door on the side. It takes literally 10 seconds to put the crate together or fold it back down, super easy system and it's a metal frame using 3/4 metal tubes. The base is the same material as the sides but with reinforced material in the corners and then there is a wool kind of dog bed at the bottom. So there is no plastic tray or hard bottom to this crate. Love it, saved me hours or making something custom!! I also love that it comes with a bag so I can fold it up, store it and just throw it in the back of the truck when not using it.

This dog crate is easy to put up and take down. Strong zippers. We set it up for our dogs' use when we go camping and she feels very comfortable away from home...and we contribute it to this crate. When we visit in-laws, we set this crate up in a corner and our dog feels more comfortable and at home. When we have a storm or when she is not feeling well we set it up in the hallway, and it calms her right down. We have used it for 4 years and it is still in great shape. Easy to take traveling as it packs small. Lightweight but sturdy. Our dog, german shephard, loves her crate, and so do we. Thank you.

This item is what others have said not good. We have a chocolate lab she is just over a year old but very much crate trained. This was her 'tent' for our camper. Let's just say it is horrible. We got it against what some reviews stated and it was great however the seams started to fray and then the screens popped out. That's fine we will return and try another. We did just hat however we weren't camping for another two months. Go camping and the same thing happens this time it's to the screen on top. Every single time. The seams are horrible beware. Our girl only bumped the side and they rip. I am bummed cause this was a perfect crate and so awesome to take easy to store etc.

This folds down and sets up easily, the fabric is quality, the seams seem secure. It's absolutely the biggest crate I've ever seen. The ventilation inside seems adequate, and the travel bag is great. BUT, it only folds down so it's flat. Because it's so large, it doesn't fit in my car! Admittedly, my car is on the smaller side, if you had a large car or suv you'd probably be fine. But we can't travel with this crate unless we either put it on the roof of the car or take our truck and throw it in the truck bed. Defeats the purpose for us.. Folded, it's roughly 33" x 49". UPDATE: After carrying it twice in the carrying bag(down to the basement, and then back up from the basement)the handle on the bag is starting to fray and separate from the bag. So far the crate itself is holding up well. (We're using it as a spare crate in the house).

Really quality construction. Canvas siding is sturdy. One review led me to believe part of the siding was plastic but not true. The tote bag they included even has a padded shoulder strap for easy carrying. It is very large but I have a very large dog so I had to opt for the largest crate. It's well made, easy to assemble (the top side bar connectors are not immediately visible and there are no instructions on how to assemble included but from the reviews I read I knew the snapped together somehow. With a bit of effort the connecting cylinder pushes back and then you sort of put the 2 pieces out away from the side of the crate, adjust till they're touching, then pull back toward the side of the crate. At this point, the locking cylinder should slide over the other bar locking the 2 pieces firmly together. It's a good design and you can figure it out without instructions. My dog went inside immediately and stayed for about an hour before reemerging to join the rest of the household. From that interlude, I inferred he really needed a break from the rest of the household and we left him to his own devices until he was ready to come out. I had an elaborate introduction planned but it seemed totally unnecessary. The side panels, front, back and top are all mesh an allowed me to place a small table fan at one of the side openings so we could air condition the crate. This is a really superior design and all eventualities have been well thought out. Excellent product and it's Milo endorsed.

in 2018 crate went to the garbage, the front net is destroyed, we did not use much but nails cut the net like a butter. Plus sewing at a lot of places was ripped off, zipper we broke in 6 months. Maybe it is all us, but this crate XXL size and we have XXL dogs, I think materials for the front net must be more reliable. Sorry, but very short life period....
