Nylabone Nutri Dent Limited Ingredient

Let me start by saying I have two German shepherds. Needless to say, they are heavy chewers. I was looking for more healthy alternatives to rawhide, which had provided entertainment for them. I went with the chicken option, because it is the healthier of the two offered here. My dogs enjoyed them for the first time tonight. My older GSD finished in 9 minutes (a welcomed difference compared to the 5 for rawhide rolls) and my puppy who is 10 months took a whopping 20 minutes to finish, even though he is a power chewer. More than double what rawhide took him. Yes, I did actually time them so that reviewers like yourself could see how these provide wonderful entertainment.Because they have only had one, I can't speak to how well these clean teeth, or freshen breath, but I'll be sure to update later. They are heavier than I thought they would be - which I liked. I included a picture so you can see an accurate size comparison to the average pen. If you're on the fence about getting these I highly recommend them, at least the chicken ones. If you're not thinking of getting them, reconsider :)

My dogs LOVE these. My pembroke welsh corgi had pretty bad teeth after I got him from the shelter and since then I'd been searching for a dental chew that he would actually eat (he doesn't like sitting and chewing on things). I was basically on the verge of throwing in the towel when I came across these. I originally got him the mini, which he loved, so i decided to bump him up to the medium which is what he technically needs for his size. I thought he would take it and drop it like he does with all larger chews and treats but he actually layed down and chewed on it! It was amazing. So needless to say this is the only dental treat I will be buying since my bull terrier and frenchie love them as well. If I could give this product 10 stars I would.

We are the proud owners of two cute dogs, a 9 pound poodle-something and ~20ish pound miniature schnauzer. For dogs, other than human food, I'd consider our dogs fairly picky when it comes to treats. They're not into a lot of milk bones, pig's ears, and only some types of bully sticks.But these nutri dents, when it's "toothbrush time" after a walk, these guys go crazy for these things! They LOVE them! We give about 2-3 a day to our little guys and it is their favorite snack, every day. I like that it takes about a minute or so for them to crunch through them, along with the fact that they really like the taste.We had been feeding our poodle a wet, raw dog food that our vet said was leading to tons of tartar in his teeth. We switched to a dry food (Blue Buffalo), got his teeth professional cleaned, and now have just been maintaining his cleanliness with these "toothbrushes." We've gotten tons of compliments from people and other vets on how great his teeth look!Look good, feel good, taste good!

My wheaten terrier appreciates most treats- but this is clearly his favorite. I can't really speak to it's ability to scrub plaque or anything- but it keeps him occupied for a while and immediately gets his attention when he hears the bag. It used to be a lighter color- and the color seems to be different from batch to batch sometimes- which is disconcerting- but there have been no issues with it.

Update 12/20/15The second box I ordered from Amazon was just as bad as the first one. Both went in the trash. I checked with a local pet store and the product on the shelf looked as disgusting as these, so I believe this is a problem with quality control at Nylabone. The FDA ordered Nylabone to recall another product from the market earlier this year. Obviously they haven't learned anything. I have submitted a complaint to the FDA regarding tainted product.Update 12/2/15I had been ordering these regularly, but the box I ordered on 11/22/15 arrived full of dark brown burned smelling dog chews. They're awful! I won't feed them to anyone. They're going in the trash. If my next order (12/1) for these chews arrives like this one, I will simply stop ordering these altogether. Amazon should not allow companies to dump their defective goods on unsuspecting customers. I'm really disgusted with this and I will contact the manufacturer and let them know how angry I am that they would try to dump their crap on regular customers. By the way, I'm a veterinarian and will make sure none of my clients will order these. Shame on Nylabone!Original review:Well, I don't love these, but my dogs do. Last time I ordered these they were a bit weird. Funny coloring, not brown like in the past. I contacted Amazon and never heard another thing from anyone. We have let our dog eat them and he has been fine, but I’m hoping this new order will look correct. I’ll watch PetSmart and when they go on sale I’ll buy from there.About a week or so ago I tried to order the filet Mignon from Amazon and the site said they were unavailable. Now today it says I can order them. They at my dog’s absolute favorite.

My little dogs love these! My girls range from 8lbs to 13lbs. Perfect size for them.These are their "first treat of the day" treat. If I give them a different morning treat, Sophie knows and will stand there and wait until I give her one of these. She knows the routine! Hahaha!Pricey overall, I think so. But I only give them one a day. Their other treats are Cheerios. This company has the best price!

Be wary. Either something changed with the recipe or there is a bad batch floating around. Like many other recent reviewers here, I also received a box that has the strong odor and green/black color treats. My dog did eat one with no issue but I don't trust them. Too many dogs have died from 'bad treats'.The color is off putting and something does not seem right. I knew it from the moment I opened the box. Amazon sent me a replacement box and ultimately a refund. They said they would open an investigation.The first time I ordered these, they looked just like the box - light brown. Shame...

Fantastic! Amazing customer service, delivery and product - my dog's absolutely favourite part of her meal! I had a problem with the delivery and they went out of their way to help. Will definitely only order again from them.
