IS EVERYONE IGNORING THE PLASTIC PACKAGING?
I was excited to try these but.. Is everyone just ignoring the fact that it came in a PLASTIC PACKAGING??? I mean it literally says “REDUCE WASTE, save money, protect your world” on it?? What’s the point of selling something that’s “washable, reusable & organic” to “reduce waste” if it comes in a plastic packaging? Someone please tell me it’s recycled or something (which I believe it isn’t). Really disappointed!!!

Glad to have found this product
Was looking for an alternative to the use-once/throw it away sponges we've been using and thought I'd give these a try. The quality is very good (nicely packaged) and they seem to survive repeated washes without any wear so, overall, I'm happy. My only complaint is that they take a VERY long time to dry out, so I give them a little help by putting them in the microwave for 30 seconds (helps kill bacteria, too).

Always wet
These are a little bigger than I expected, about as wide as a sponge, but much longer. They are also just some textured fabric folded up inside a fabric cover. I have washed and dried then and that works fine. But ultimately I wouldn't buy these again or recommend them to friends because they never dry on their own. I have tried all sorts of way to hang them up to allow them to dry, but alas they always are sitting wet.

Fine, but I would pass on them
These are fine, I guess, but I wouldn't really recommend them. They're essentially just several layers of bamboo washcloth, sewn together. That's fine if you're looking for something to replace a soft sponge! However, for me, they're really not anymore effective than just using a regular washcloth or dishrag--and these take so much longer to dry! So, you end up needing to wash them almost immediately after use.Anyway, they're not the worst things in the world. I just think they're unnecessary.Would suggest folks look into waffle fabric washcloths and loofahs, instead.

Sturdy Little Earth Protector
We purchased these sponges because my boyfriend loves to wash dishes with a sponge and I think they're disgusting. The solution was to buy something that I can wash and heat dry to my little heart's content without it falling apart. Several of these sponges get washed on hot and dried on high weekly and have held up great for the few months we've had them. As a dish cleaner, these are a little hard to love. The size is just big enough to make it awkward to clean inside of things and hold. Whereas a traditional sponge would conform to your hand and the surface being cleaned, these don't reshape as much because of their reusable, layered construction. They get the job done, but I'm absolutely waiting for a pack of regular sponges to be smuggled into our home when my boyfriend reaches his breaking point.

Do Not Buy Without Reading This!
BEWARE! These are hard as a rock and wats doesn’t help! You can’t bend them to wash a curve! You will scratch any metal you try to wash! They are like wooden boards no matter how many times you get them wet! I may try to use them on the bottom of my feet. Other that I canno conceive of a use for them. Honestly, they have no use in my household. How anyone can use them remains a mystery after having these for months! I should have returned immediately.

Can’t recommend for 5 reasons.
Hi. Received as a gift for eco cleaning. Mainly to replace the weekly dish sponge. I have been using for 1 month and have posted pictures of a new sponge (I planned ahead knowing I wanted to submit a review) next to a sponge that has been washed 4 or 5 times. A couple issues have been discovered,1) The sponge that has been washed is looking very tattered and seams have ripped. It looks unattractive and gross. This begs the question-does a dish sponge need to be attractive? Probably not however I want the kitchen to look clean and this item doesn’t look “clean”. If I was visiting someone who was washing their dishes with this sponge I would be hesitant to believe the dishes were clean. I have washed these more frequently- using extra washing detergent, water and electricity. It’s a tiny little sponge-does it matter that it needs to be washed more often? YES!! The environment needs every bit of help she can get! :)2) I’m pretty sure one layer of fabric will soon be falling completely off.3) I love the idea of green living and want to do my part is saving the environment. When this sponge used to wash dishes the dish soap seems to be sucked deep inside the sponge and the dish doesn’t get soap. Plus.... I use more dish soap when using this sponge vs a washable dish rag (Still able to save the environment !!)4) after wringing it out as much as possible it does not dry completely between washings (apx 12 hrs). I feel uncomfortable using an item that has been wet/damp all day. Kind of gross.....5) they start to smell after 2 days! Refer to #1I do not recommend unless washed after each use. Will I return? I have 1 day to decide. If they allow suds then I could use in shower but.... still all the issues above. I think I have decided. Return. Sad face. I do like the idea.

All purpose cleaner, just not for dishes
These sponges are really not for dishes: they're too big, too thick, not flexible enough and not sudsy enough. So why 5 stars? For everything else, they're terrific! For countertops, floors, scouring the sink, in the bathroom, for scraping that recalcitrant goo off the floor, heavy cleaning walls, baseboards, vents...in short just about every job around the house. Crumbs, food prep leavings and dirt really stick to these suckers. You can apply lots of elbow grease - the abrasive surface removes stuck on stuff - with no worries that you're going to damage kitchen or furniture surfaces.Rinse them out and they're ready to go. When the get really disgusting (which is often since I use them every day) I just toss them in the laundry and they are as good as new. You gotta love 'em because they are going to be with you a long, long time. Very durable. And when theirs lives as dutiful scrubbers are over, into the compost heap they go. I haven't found any thing that compares.

Perfect solution to sponges
It's great to have an eco-friendly solution to sponges. Sponges gather a lot of bacteria and are supposed to be replaced weekly. With these I can wash them and use them again. I think the only negative I have is that they are a bit big so it can be awkward cleaning some things but these are the best sustainable solution I've found so far and worth the money.
