This is an attractive, easy to use kettle. I use it almost daily. It does not however, heat to the advertised temperature. The hottest I can get the water is 165 degrees. The description when I purchased it said that it came with a 3 year purchase and lifetime support, (copied and pasted below) but according to amazon product support is only 6 months..... How does that work? The media could not be loaded.  Purchased this for my office to use in my MRE and toy repair videos. So far I've been really happy with it. I've done some creative re-shuffling of my plugged in devices so I have an outlet that can handle drawing the power needed to run this. 1500W was too much for the power strip I've got behind my desk..tripped the breaker!Pros:1. Material - This is a NICE stainless steel kettle. It's well put together and looks fantastic.2. LED Indicator - I like the color coated LED lights to indicate the different temperatures. Not a necessary feature, but handy at a glance to make sure I'm not making the water too hot for my projects.3. POWERFUL - I was able to boil 1 liter of water in about 3 minutes. You can see in the video I left it running until 3:25 just to be safe, but it started to boil around 40 seconds in. That's amazing!4. Built-in strainer - This will come in handy if I'm using this kettle directly to make drinks, or if I need to remove the water and keep objects inside the kettle to cool.Just be aware that this gets very hot to the touch...Much like if you used the stove to heat a kettle. Don't try to grab it by anything other than the handle. Haha

Update : the filter in the spout got pretty clogged after a few months so I popped it out to clean it. Pours faster not but the filter keeps falling into the kettle.Original review:I like that it has 5 different temp settings and the heating element inside the kettle is flat so should be easy to clean. However the lid spring is not strong enough to open it sometimes because you have to push down to release the lid latch. I was going to return it then thought of this workaround. I pus a self adhesive furniture slider on the lid so I have something to pull up on while pushing the lid release down.

UPDATE: I submitted a question to the seller + got. I response + also emailed the customer service email provided with my product + have gotten no response. I am trying to get the base replaced since it stopped working as I mentioned. I suggest getting a better quality kettle so you don’t have to worry about tracking down a replacement part under your year warranty.I got this kettle for the temp control, the color coding light and the cord free pot. I’ve had it for about 9months and the base that powers the kettle is not working. It started acting up a month ago. The pot has to latch into the base and you hear it beep every time if it’s plugged in. It has stopped already, which seems early in the purchase for that. Otherwise I’ve liked using it.

I love the size of this kettle. It's large, so I can make enough hot water for my whole family at the same time. Also, it has 5 different temperature settings. I read reviews before purchasing that mentioned it's hard to open and that it doesn't hold at the temperature you set it to. I did not find the lid difficult to open. This kettle will hold at 212 for 2 hours (I think that's the time limit). Once you pick it up, it turns off. It will not hold at the other temperatures. Overall, this is a great product. I've had it for a few months and have had no problems with it!

Nice sleek kettle with a great temperature selection option. I almost didn't buy this kettle because the temperature settings are not quite what I need (I like to brew my coffee at 200 degrees), but it's fine. I tested all the temperatures with a calibrated thermometer and they were accurate +/- 4 degrees. The grounded safety plug was also an essential feature. My complaints are that it is hard to fill and the outside is not insulated.

Awesome product for the price. I love the convenient settings for temp control. The only thing I’d like to see is a live temperature reading so I can see how much it’s cooled since reaching temp. But that’s a feature I only see on much more expensive kettles, so for this price point this is the best value!

Love that I can finally make a proper French press!Water boiler has indicator lights depending on the temp setting. Beeps with every adjustment and beeps 3x when water has reached the appropriate temp before it turns off automatically. Good little size. Cord can be wrapped around Uber the base SOMEWHAT conveniently. It’s very stiff and the cord slot doesn’t rotate so you have to manuever it a bit oddly. Overall VERY happy since most temp control boilers are easily much more $$
