Love it
This flag is made of heavy duty material, so it looks like it would last for more than a year here in Florida. What I like about it most is the fact that it is SLEEVED, meaning that the pole slides through the sleeve in the flag. This prevents the flag from turning over on itself in the wind. Also, MADE IN USA!!!

Great quality. Holds up well to the weather.
These flags are outstanding. We manage about 18 months of display before the flag needs to be replaced. Much better than the flags made in China!

100% made in the USA American Flag
These 100% made in the USA American flags are all about the same and this flag in not really any different. First off there are only like 3 major USA flag makers here on Amazon and they all sell basically the same product for about the same price. I actually overpaid for this flag because I got it just before July 4th and Amazon jacked the price about $7-$10 on all three. No biggie. The other thing about these flags is they are all using the same material, same stitch pattern, same leather tab, etc....So just make sure you get a 100% made in the USA American Flag from one of the big three and you should be just fine. They all wear about the same, fade about the same, last about the same. I used all three different flagmakers and they all lasted about about two years of good color and no wind whip. Then going into the third year, heavy fading and the material will start dry rotting and tearing and fraying. That's really about it, about three years max, if that. After that, the flag looks like crap and should be replaced. I've had one last about five years only flying about four weeks a year. Otherwise, flying daily 24/7/365, 2-3 years max and time to replace. Flags are flown on the east coast of central Florida.

How to buy a flag
You would think buying an American flag would be super simple. After all there are supposed to be no design or color choices, every American flag is identical, right? Well no, there actually are a lot of choices and the biggest one turns out to be who you should pick to spend your money with.SO MANY CHOICESSo let’s start with that, which company do you choose of dozens who have such patriotic names (and so many with names that look nearly identical)? There are so many claims, including some that are downright false. Fortunately there are laws now to help but they only apply to the label that must be sewn into each REGULATION U.S. flag that is sold in America - a label you don’t get to see until after you buy the product. I’ve been looking at Amazon listings for two weeks to replace my old tattered flag and every day the listings change and the variety of choices come and go.MAKING A CHANGEThe last two flags I bought were from Valley Forge, and there is no question that they are a respected and trusted manufacturer. Until recently I used to only display my flag on the obvious holidays so it remained looking like new for maybe 10 years. But when I bought my new house last year I started displaying it 24/7 in our harsh desert climate, exposed to the blazing sun, monsoon storms and fierce winds. Under those conditions it lasted a year before becoming so tattered it was unusable. This time I thought I would try a different company and ended up with US Flag, but I found that the user reviews weren’t as helpful as they could be.THE NUMBER ONE THING PEOPLE LOOK FORJudging by user reviews for this and other brands it appears that the number one thing people look for is durability. But I don’t think reading about how long someone else’s flag lasted has any meaning at all to me. None of us has the slightest idea what conditions other people are flying their flags under - they could be hanging it outdoors one day a year or flying it from the back of their jeep in the Sahara desert.THE NUMBER TWO THINGI think one of the things that most influences someone shopping for a flag is the claims about how it is stitched and embroidered and what it’s made from. Here we have to take the manufacturer’s word. The vast majority of flags sold in the U.S. are made of nylon, which has the benefit of strength, fade resistance and the right look as it flaps in the wind. Cotton is more traditional and maybe a better choice for funerals and indoor displays. And there are some polyester blends that work well for commercial flagpoles but some of them are so heavy that they just droop rather than flutter enthusiastically. So I went with the most popular kind and chose one made of nylon.MADE IN USAUnless you buy from a very wells -known reputable company you’re pretty much relying on nothing but trust when buying a flag online. Yes there is the FMAA “certification” but when you go to their website you learn that their management is actually made up of employees of some of the flag maker companies and that companies have to pay them to be certified, that doesn’t make them very impartial. Plus they don’t really give people like us an unbiased buying guide that lists all companies who have U.S. flags for sale. So frankly I don’t find their certification to be much help to me at all. By the way, this company that I’m reviewing has only been around since 1987, relatively young by flag maker standards.MORE THAN SIZEI stated earlier that unless you want some sort of specialty flag I thought every U.S. flag is supposed to be identical in color and shape, but read on to see how I found out they’re not. Your decisions then are the fabric, which I’ve already discussed, and the size, which is a personal decision based on your needs. But there is one more decision you will have to make. If you search for flags you’ve probably already noticed that most of them are the grommet type, which are designed to be clipped on to a flagpole lanyard. You have to include the word sleeve, gusset or pocket to find listings for flags intended to be slipped over a wooden or metal tubular pole as you most often find attached to the siding of a house. Because the pole is usually mounted at an angle a gusseted pocket helps the flag drape more naturally and flutter better in the breeze. These two styles of flags are not interchangeable so be sure to order the right style for your flagpole.SO IS IT WORTH IT OR NOTMy first impression was that this was a super lightweight, much more so than I expected but a side-by-side comparison proved that the look, feel and quality of construction of this flag appear to be comparable in almost every way to my previous Valley Forge flags and the price is about the same. But two things that stand out that are for some inexplicable reason this flag is almost two inches shorter lengthwise than the Valley Forge although both are sold as being 2.5 x 4 FT. The other is the placement of the stars on the blue field and the width of the stripes. I don’t know if there’s some regulation standard or not but this flag has the stars further left toward the pole and lower than the Valley Forge brand and the horizontal red and white stripes are wider. It’s not a dealbreaker but purists may want to know this.Other than this I see no obvious advantages or disadvantages so I would say just go with the one you feel most comfortable with. As far as durability I never understand how anyone could review a flag that they just bought today and pronounce it the best and most durable flag ever made. In my harsh climate I expect this one to last about a year and if it does I’ll be happy. If it doesn’t I’ll be back here to post an update. But as for first impressions I like it and so far I recommend it if you aren’t picky about their attention to details like size, star placement and the width of the stripes.

Great Nylon Flag! Used 3 years
This nylon flag was very well made. We used it in a wall mounted holder off the side of my house most days. This is my second purchase of this made in America USA flag. We had used our flag for almost 3 years, it was dirty not tattered on the edges. The red, white and blue were not bright under the dirt. After receiving the flag I decided to wash the old flag in the washer on delicate with mild soap and dry it flat! It looks great almost as good as new. Will keep the older flag to fly on special days. I would recommend you purchase this flag it is a good buy for the money.
