Sig Sauer Romeo 5 1x20mm 2 MOA Red Dot Sight W/ High Mount

Simply put, for the money, this sight is excellent! Holds its zero, simple to use, comes on automatically with movement, great on battery life, DURABLE, easy to install, easy on the eye, low profile - all for a fraction of the competition's price! I use this for sporting and defense applications. I could have spent more money, but after watching some serious torture tests on YouTube (being frozen in ice, shot with 12 ga, dropped on concrete, etc.) I decided to give it a try. Glad I did; professional quality with civilian price. Now, this sight is SIMPLE. Easy to mount, adjust and zero. It's also simple in function: a red dot. Period. If you want more apertures or sight pictures, don't buy it. If you just want meat and potatoes, then this is the ticket. I don't care about being "tacticool" - all I care about is what works well and getting the best deal possible. Cannot recommend more highly.

This red dot sight is very good quality. The glass and coating provides a nice clear sight picture, the 2MOA dot it very crisp, the aluminum body feels of good quality and the sight mount fits the sight perfectly, both fit and finish. Not a bad mounting method and the overall weight is not too heavy. This model number is for only the high mount sight which is a co-witness height. For an AR the low mount is not necessary and a waste of money. If you need a lower mount for a different weapon get the package with both height mounts for a few extra bucks. The buttons for brightness are nice and tactile, and provide an easy on/off and the auto ON/OFF not only saves battery and stretches the life of a CR2032 to it's max, but this system works very well. It shuts the LED off after 2 minutes and the very slightest movement re-activates the LED. This sight is SOLID. Highly recommended. If there is one negative for me it would be that there is some parallax even though it is advertised as parallax free, but this is true even of the high end sights like aimpoint, trijicon and EOtech and the like. So I give this 5 stars.

I bought this on Amazon at about $15 less than what I could find anywhere else. The box was generic looking, but it came with everything advertised. Took about 5 minutes to install and co-witness with my flip-up sights using a laser bore sight. I chose this one specifically for the shake-awake function, which works perfectly. I also like how the adjustment caps have a built-in flathead that fit perfectly in the adjustment knobs, so no tools needed at the range to get is sighted-in. Does not come with instructions, but if you can't figure it out, perhaps you should not be using firearms. Seriously, there's 2 buttons, just note that when you first install the battery, make sure to take the sticker off the battery and remove the sticky residue before you install it, then you will need to turn up the intensity using the + button before you see the dot. Duh, right? Also, as a PSA for those who are new to red dot sights, when aiming, keep both eyes open and focus your eyes on the TARGET, not on the dot. If you focus on the dot, you will probably find it to be blurry. I'm sure there is an occasional bad one out there, but I think most of the negative reviews for this sight are likely user error. But one with confidence and go pew pew with it.

Great optic for the price point. I'd been using one of those for some time on a PCC, decided to get another one for a different platform.

The optic is durable enough for 99% of the users that have them. They're good for guns that may sit in the safe a while with the auto off/on feature. The only down side is that they are not made in the US and they have to be re-zero'd if you take it off the gun and re-mount it again. Other than that mine has held up great even under full auto heavy recoil. I'm not sure it's advertised but they are night vision compatible and the dot can be turned down very dim (invisible to the naked eye) and will be visible under NVG's although due to the smaller window was difficult (but possible). Will be buying another in the future for other weapon systems.

Works great. Holds zero with 5.56 no problem at all. No issues with function. I change the batteries regardless once a year. Have never been dead
