Compiled by author and Hardboiled editor Gary Lovisi, this collection of gritty stories set in the world of boxing (as the title clearly indicates) goes the full 15-round distance and covers the gamut from pulpy to poignant.Most of the stories are written especially for this anthology, but there are a handful of reprints, including a quirky yet curiously charming one from 1948 by Penelope Stanhope, a British writer.Mike Black's "Lost Rounds" is a particularly memorable, but each of the stories packs its own powerful punch.Full Disclosure: One of the entries is by some character named Dundee, who is proud to be part of the lineup.Recommended
