This book is more a sex book than a romance book. I think of it as well-written erotica. The whole book is basically one long sex scene, a menage between Denny, Gabe and Jonah. So I consider this more erotica than romance or erotic romance. Although it does have the expectation of a true love happening for Denny and Gabe, this story is more about them acknowledging and acting on their very intense sexual attraction for each other.Denny works for Gabe and Jonah. She's been hot for Gabe from day one. Even in love with him, staring at him, hoping he'll make a move, wishing he would act on the desire she can see in his eyes, but Gabe is too controlled, too hard and cold. Every time his primal need to have Denny becomes almost untenable, he manages to shut it down and back away from her. Gabe wants Denny so much, to the point where his hands actually tremble with the need to touch her and his hard eyes always follow her around the office. All this sexual tension culminates in the menage scene.Knowing Denny is in love with Gabe, Jonah approaches her with a plan to break through to Gabe, whose refusal to have Denny is due to his guilt over the death of a previous lover. Jonah reasons that showing up at Gabe's home with Denny as a birthday present for him is just the catalyst needed to push Gabe over the edge. And Gabe cannot resist the chance to have Denny finally and feels that he can protect himself from falling too deep for her since he has his best friend Jonah acting as a sort of buffer between Denny and his intense desire to own her, to dominate her, and to practically consume her.The menage scene is over the top hot. Denny, a soft curvy woman, is completely loved rough and fast by these two big hard men. It is super erotic action with loads of hot oral, vaginal and anal sex, all of which is very primal, rough and biting, and words used to describe all the sex/penetration are primitive, raw, brutal, and savage. And this may sound crude, but if you're looking at this book, you should expect this, Denny is rode hard and put away wet. It is top-notch erotica.Being with Denny unleashes all Gabe's possessive and primitive feelings. I know it sounds strange, but, even in sharing Denny with another man, Gabe was still very possessive of Denny, directing Jonah in what he could and could not have of her. This menage was just what Gabe needed to see that Denny was 'his woman', meant to be owned and touched by him alone.Don't get this book expecting hearts and flowers romance, though there is maybe just a little of that in the epilogue; do expect HOT sex with two intense alpha males. Lots of hot, scorching sex.

Ick.
I'm sorry, but ick. Nasty. I am relatively new to erotica, and let me say that the whole menage a trios lit is quite an interesting addition to my reading lexicon. However, Triple Play was more than a little nasty as well as pretty darn unbelievable. Are there men that can have that much consistent sex in that short amount of time discounting teenagers or Viagra users? This trio was quite acrobatic as well. There was more than a few occasions when I had to stop and think out the logistics of the situation. A little like DVR instructions translated from Japanese. And really, is being part of a rigorous three way the best way to show your crush who also happens to be your boss what a winsome chick you are? I don't think so. Color me prude, but it seems a better way to show what a skank you are. Yes, auto-correct, skank, not skunk.Maya Banks and Elle Kennedy has a whole plethora go menage a trios naughtiness that is a little more believable as well as more, hmmm, aesthetically pleasing. I'm guessing on that point as I have no empirical evidence.

This book consists of 190 pages, most of which are dedicated to one prolonged 'seduction' scene between two males and one woman. At least this woman is no naive virgin who suddenly turns into a superemancipated nymphomaniac overnight, like some other books I've recently read.Denny Abbot has fallen in love with her dangerously appealing boss, in whose presence she blushes and stutters like a star-eyed adolescent with her first crush. Gabriel Harrison has not given her the slightest encouragement so Denny is resigned to loving him from afar. That is until Gabriel's thirty-fifth birthday when his friend and partner,Jonah, persuades Denny to become a birthday present (with ribbons and bow) for his friend. Danny is reluctant at first and understandably so, as Jonah proposes a menage. Why? Because his friend, who is irrevocably in love with Danny, will feel safe and unthreatened in a threesome. But once he has had sex with Danny,( the friend expresses it more crudely), he won't ever let her go! Some men have serious issues, I must say. The reason why our guy has all these hang ups, is because he had a very painful experience in the past.Denny sees it as her only chance to get intimate with Gabriel, and why not? She'll do what she has spent the last year fantasizing about, have sex with him. The fact that his gorgeous friend will partake in the revelry, is an extra bonus. Gabriel is taken aback by the unexpected visit but once Denny's charms are gradually exposed, he finds himself unable to resist. He'll gives Denny a taste of his prowess but guard his heart, allowing himself to indulge in sex without restraints with the woman that has been plaguing his thoughts, night and day.The sex is hot, though the fact that there is so much of it in one long scene, makes it repetitive. Another thing I object to is refrences to the woman as a "present" or "it" as if she were a sexual object. Such expressions of "adoration" are not conducive to "love" which our heroes quote so often as if to exonerate their little orgy.If you enjoy reading very explicit sex, where the characters don't blush at using strong sexual language, then you are more than likely to enjoy it, as it is a quick read that doesn't bore. If, on the other hand, you'd like a romantic story where the hero pursues the heroine before they become intimate, then no; don't bother. There's not much suspense here and the outcome is obvious from page two.
