No, the whole thing is not magnetic. But you can make it that way if you buy sticky magnetic strips and put on the back of it...That's what I did.

I have not heard of or seen offers of replacement magnets. However, I suggest you contact the vendor. I have gotten replacement pieces for games by going directly to the vendor. Good luck.

No not at all the board is the magnet that everything attach's too and it has a string attached to it, we hung it in our son's room. No idea how it compares. It has the days of the week the months and the numbers as well as season's and weather my son loves it.
