Skip HopToddler Backpack, Zoo Preschool Ages 3-4, Unicorn

My daughter is three-years-old and on the small side. This backpack is a great size for her. Most of the backpacks I come across are either too small or too large, but these seem perfectly designed for preschoolers. Most preschool bags are too small but this seems like an actual preschool size. You can't fit a big folder in it (almost can!), but it holds quite a bit of stuff. We don't use it for school because she is home-schooled but we use it for going out and she likes to play with it at home too.It is very well made and durable. The straps are padded and she has never complained of discomfort. It has a carry handle, a side mesh pocket for drinks, and a name tag on the inside for writing your child's name. The snout part of the bag unzips and acts as a front compartment. Of course there is also the main, large compartment as well. The bag is easily wiped clean and it has held up very well since I bought it. It is not waterproof.The bag contains a lot of whimsical details. The zippers have cute clouds with rainbows as the zipper pull tabs, the snout is polka-dotted, the bag has button eyes, ears that stick up, and best of all, it has a cute little horn that juts from its head. The colors are lovely. The bag is a minty color with pastel pink ears, and a bright yellow snout with pink nostrils. The horn is silver with minty-colored stripes. I love that Skip Hop Zoo products come with matching items that you can buy separately. If you want your child to be entirely fashionable, you can also buy a matching lunch bag, matching food containers, matching drink bottle, matching umbrella, and matching raincoat (maybe even other things).The only downside to this bag is that the large snout makes it resemble a hippo more than a unicorn. My daughter wore her backpack to church and almost every single person thought it was either a hippo or even a rhino (you think the horn would have given it away) and only one person realized it was a unicorn without me having to tell them so. Either way, it's cute and got a lot of compliments. I still haven't come across a cuter backpack than this and I love how feminine and soft it looks. My daughter absolutely loves it and I'm so glad I bought it for her.

This is the CUTEST backpack and I love that it fits my toddler appropriately. All the other bags were either too big or they would be so small it wasn't practical. This is an excellent product. The side pocket fits a Camelbak kid's water bottle, the zippers are easy for her to use and the front pocket has a small mesh section which is great for the trinkets she picks up on adventures. It is small enough to fit into the school cubby but large enough we can easily pack for an overnight trip. I thought the horn would "deflate" or start to bend - but it's still going strong after months and months of use. The material is high quality. Will be purchasing the same brand for my son!

We have bought this exact backpack (unicorn) and it's matching lunchbox, twice! First set as a gift for my daughter's BFF, and then of course, a set for her. We have a unicorn fanatic over here and this is such a cute backpack! I originally worried that it would be too big for my petite 3 year old, but it's actually a very good size for her. Agreed, it doesn't do well as a big-kid school backpack. I think it would be too small. Our preschool gives a 3-ring binder, which does not fit in this backpack. But it is fine for day-trips and traveling. It's rather boxy, so can fit a lot more than you'd think. W e use the insulated lunch box almost every day. Definitely a cute buy for a reasonable price. Skip Hop quality is pretty good! Sturdy, nicely sewn, details all done well. I'm sure we'll end up with another set when baby brother is old enough!

My daughter is in love with this backpack, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't as well!It is the perfect size for her (3 years old) and will continue to fit her needs for at least two more years.This backpack is well made and VERY sturdy! A huge plus when you have a toddler! She has been less than gentle with it and it has held up wonderfully!There's a good amount of space in it, far more than I expected. We have been able to pack it full of snacks, barbies, books, spiral notebooks, coloring books, art supplies, clothing, and so much more. It's perfect for traveling, and she loves it as a play backpack as well. I am hoping it will hold up until preschool next year! (Perfect size for preschool supplies)It's adorable!

I went through three other book bags before I landed the right one. This one was the winner. I brought expensive ones that strap didn’t stay on the shoulder. Cheap ones that didn’t fit much with no water bottle compartment. This was more than right. I HIGHLY recommend this bag to every parent looking for a PRESCHOOL BAG. It's a bit small but it's perfect for a preschool child who doesn't need much. I bought it last school year and she is using it again. No rips or tears. We love it.

Bought this for our preschooler and turns out you can’t fit anything in this. It’s really just for looks.. I wish I had t purchased this because we really need a fullsize backpack for everything you are required to send to school with your kiddo.

Smaller size is perfect for toddlers! It can be filled up but is still not too heavy for her to lift! Pattern also comes in beverage containers and a cute lunch holder!
